Appeals Court Finds No 'Fundamental Right To Gamble'

POSTED: 7:50 pm PDT March 20, 2008
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. --
A New Jersey appeals court has decided that one gambler has to live with the hand he dealt himself. The man, identified only as "S.D.," said he acted on an impulse after losing big at an Atlantic City casino and put himself on the no-gambling list. About an hour later, he was trying to get his name crossed off it. He soon started getting letters from casinos outside New Jersey saying he was banned there too. His lawyers argued S.D. didn't realize the list could cross state lines.http://www.ktvu.com/news/15659404/detail.html
