    *Verdict Watch*

    There didn't seem to be much interest here in this case, and I gave up on it a while ago because it was far too involved to keep up with all the details. There were originally four defendants (one pled guilty to some charges but hasn't been sentenced yet), multiple charges against each, and the trial lasted almost six months.

    The jury has been deliberating since last Tuesday, but it could take a while to reach a verdict since there are three defendants, each with their own charges that must be considered. I will probably receive an email alert from local media when the verdicts are rendered, and I will post as soon as I have the information.

    In the meantime, WDIV, Channel 4, Detroit has had exemplary ongoing coverage of the trial. There were daily media updates and a blog detailing court proceedings. All the reports can be found at this link:

    The panel of 8 women and 4 men deliberated for close to 100 hours before finally coming to a decision.

    The verdict is expected to be read at 10:30AM in the courtroom of Judge Nancy Edmunds in the US District Court in downtown Detroit.
