VA - Rare Car Recovered May Link Va. Interstate Shootings; Police Hunt Gunmen

Law enforcement officials in Waynesboro, Va., are investigating the possibility that a light-colored 1970's AMC Gremlin now in their possession may have been involved in six vehicle shootings along busy Interstate 64 on Thursday.

Virginia State Police continued to hunt down a pair of gunmen suspected of the shootings and promised that more troopers would patrol the highway Thursday night if they didn't find them.

Officers still don't have a motive for the shootings, and believe that the snipers are still in the area.

It would be stupid on the shooters' behalf to use an obvious or uncommon car. Hopefully they are caught before they hurt someone.

My first car was a Gremlin. Although, I didn't consider it rare, just an embarrassment. But, I paid $300 cash for it and that sucker was cost me next to nothing for gas or maintenance.
