Highgate, Vermont - March 31, 2008
Vermont State Police said slick roads led to numerous accidents Monday morning.
The worst crash involved a tour bus that overturned on Interstate 89 near the Canadian border. About 27 people, including the bus driver, had to be evacuated through broken windows and rooftop hatches.
"The roads were pretty icy," Sgt. Roger Langevin said. "He started to fishtail a little bit, he tried to correct, and overcorrected as he started to slide and went off the side of the road."

Tour Bus Crash Victim Shares His Story

St. Albans, Vermont - April 3, 2008
Jung Woong Lee had been in Vermont less than fifteen minutes when his visit took an unexpected turn.
The tour bus the Seoul, Korea, native and his wife were traveling in swerved on the icy interstate and flipped over onto the median in Highgate, just south of the Canadian border.
Instead of going to Boston, their destination was the Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans.

How terribly frightening! I'm so glad Mr. Lee and the others survived.
