Well...unless they were "kidnapped" I doubt it is anything more than the spring weather bringing up the dead. Remember the police told the side sonar guy that he would likely see lots of bodies in the bay

...ohmy. that's pretty gruesome. what do they do when they see/find other bodies when they are lookinging for a particular one, as in Laci and Conner's case? do they make notes on the others? do they make an attempt to retrieve them? or do they ignore them? morbid.
 
Yes Linnafay, and there were two other bodies found during the search for Laci! Like Gene Ralston said in one of his quotes, the bay is a known dumping ground, and then, they told us we'd find more than we expected, or something to that effect!

Why do you think Scott picked the bay for his place to sink Laci, when he could have put her in Lake Tullock or a Reservoir, where the coppers would never have found her as the water was so deep! In the bay, bodies just disappear, never to be seen again, most usually. I wonder what the odds are for every body found, to all those that are dumped there, never to have the remnants wash up to give closure to their families!

I hate to tell you this but it happens all the time. Hubby was in the Coast Guard and did search and rescue in that area.

Hubby says the bay is virtually a dumping ground for bodies.

That might be why an ocean or lake is sometimes referred to as "a body of water".....should be "water of bodies"......how very sad. Somehow, it's hard to even look at an area for its beauty again after reading that.
 
I found this website when we were writing on the "Weights not Anchors" thread. It is a list of retrieved and "found" bodies in the San Francisco area called the "Body Found News Timeline". Scroll down the page at least halfway for more detailed reports. Laci and Connor are included, as well as the bodies found yesterday. It really is amazing how many bodies are just lying around, and think of how many more are never found!

2 bodies identified, another body washed up Friday

Janine Marie Clarke, 41, of Hayward was found Saturday at 8:18 a.m. by joggers at San Gregorio State Beach, south of Half Moon Bay...apparently had drowned.

On Friday night at 9 p.m., Marriscolo said, the body of 50-year-old Richard Searle was found on a beach near Pigeon Point Lighthouse. Searle died from multiple gunshot wounds, and his death is under investigation.

Coroner's officials believe they have the body of a 17-year-old Daly City boy who was last seen March 13 at Sharp Park Beach in Pacifica before being swept out to sea. At 6 a.m. Friday, a body was found about 300 yards from where Santiago Rodos-Reyes has last seen by family members, Marriscolo said.

Two of the three bodies mentioned above weren't dumped anywhere--they drowned.

Searle, who had been shot, might have been "dumped" in the Bay, then carried into the ocean before washing up on the beach near Pigeon Point lighthouse. The investigation into his death will hopefully turn up more information.
 
This is not someplace where I'd like to go swimming, that's for sure!

DNA identifies surf victim

SAN MATEO -- Using only a toothbrush as a clue, investigators have identified a body washed up on a Coastside beach as that of a missing Daly City teenager.
The body -- found March 26 on Sharp Park Beach in Pacifica -- is that of 17-year-old Santiago Rodas-Reyes, who was swept out to sea while wading near the shore on March 13. The teen could not swim.
Lacking tools such as fingerprint and dental records, DNA taken from saliva on the teenager's toothbrush was used to help make the identification, said San Mateo County Coroner Robert Foucrault.

This young man was swept "out to sea" on March 13 and body washed ashore March 26 only 300 yards from the spot he had been wading.
