MD - 2 teen boys abducted after home invasion Baltimore

Dollars to donuts this has something to do with heroin. Catonsville and Baltimore have a HUGE problem.

I don't like seeing that the some of the "witnesses" weren't cooperating and were also found with large amounts of cash after the home invasion.

Exactly! That was the same stomping grounds that both my brother and BIL frequented when they were using heroin.

What a surprise. This link tells alot, Lurker. Large amounts of cash, Mercedes, Audis, Jags all pulling up at the house. Traffic all hours of the night. The teens dad wanted on a murder charge and already busted for trafficing and manufacturing. There's an Amber alert out for the teens. B-More, Camden, Philly all got it bad. Neighbors not wanting to be named on this block were basically held hostage themselves. Of course nobody is going to cooperate. Lurker, I am hoping your brother and BIL are doing better now.http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/loc...0,741972.story

Those poor boys! What awful lives they must have already lived! I suppose that by their age they are a part of their father's drug life. Not even a hint of a smile in their pictures. I wish they would be found and placed in a home with someone able to make a difference in their lives!

Abducted teens have been arrested before
    http://www.wbaltv.com/news/15780496/detail.html
According to juvenile records, the teens have each been arrested five times in Baltimore City, on charges including marijuana distribution and second-degree assault. (more at link)

I'm not surprised. I don't think they had much of a chance from the start.

Thanks Filly, they're both doing great now. My brother has been clean for 2 years and now lives on the beach in NC (his dream). My bil is married with a little girl and is finally clean after many stints in the big house. Keeping fingers crossed that they both stay that way. The stories they've told could make your blood curdle. My brother used to "hack" in Baltimore City to make money. That's where they use their own car as a taxi and charge less (enough to score some pills). He took one of his "fares" to a 7-11 and the guy got out and put a gun to my brothers head and pulled the trigger. Lucky for him, it either jammed or wasn't loaded to begin with.

Something really strange is going on with this story.

Lurker, That's really good news about your brother and BIL. I can only half imagine the hack stories. In Philly at one point some of the cabs had signs on them saying "NO RUNS" meaning the cabbies were not driving somebody into a bad neighborhood and then waiting for them. Thus hacks as well. Unfortunately as of a half hour ago they haven't heard anything about these two brothers who were abducted. What's strange is whoever took them was way mad because the people the cops took in had large amounts of cash on them. So, loot was not the motive. Drugs are some people's living and ya don't want to mess with how they keep their lifestyle. Here's the latest link, but basically what Taxi Mom has generously shared with us. Again, that's great about your family.http://wjz.com/local/kidnap.brothers....2.691388.html

The 2 brothers, in the presence of a relative have turned themselves in to Batlimore county police within the past hour. It was disclosed last night that federal investigators were also working on the case.

I'm sure more will be disclosed later.

I believe the teens themselves are involved in drug trafficing. There was a lot of cash in the house and their father was arrested in 2006 in possession of a large amount of heroin. A large amount of cash was also found in their home at that time.

IMO these teens left of their own free will with this group. Probably involves the father in some way. Note that they specifically said the BMW was not stolen. It was found in Baltimore city near a known drug market area. The reason it was not listed as stolen is that it belongs to one of the boys. Which means the mother has to have knowledge of what was going on under her nose. What 16 yr old do you know that owns a BMW?

The landlord has also recently asked the tenants to vacate the house in Catonsville. That part of Catonsville is NOT considered a bad neighborhood. Apparently it was rather quiet until the house was taken over by this family and their variety of nightly visitors.

Sounds a bit fishy to me.

LE said they are going "full bore" into investigating and interviewing the Blackwell brothers. Right now they are considering the boys victims unless information points to something else. LE wants to know where the boys were and of course with whom, and weather there was ransom requested and weather any was paid. The eldest Blackwell brother brought them in and someone close to the boys had been cooperating with LE to set a meeting place and time with LE.http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/loc...0,813210.story
