Search-and-rescue crews hunted Tuesday for a missing, and possibly suicidal, Sebastopol woman whose pickup was found seemingly abandoned Monday night at Whiskeytown National Recreation Area.
Kristina Ashe Olsen, 50, was reported missing Monday afternoon, and a California Highway Patrol officer spotted her white Toyota pickup parked at the East Beach parking area later Monday...
and
...Olsen had last checked into a motel in Weaverville on Thursday night, and its unknown why she visited Whiskeytown or what she did over the weekend.
and
Authorities during Monday evenings brief search originally reported that Olsen might be suicidal. Dispatch reports show that Olsens sister called the Sheriffs Office to report her sister had killed herself in the Shasta area.
Olsens sister told dispatchers that she had received a letter postmarked April 3rd that contained a suicide note along with credit cards and the missing womans vehicle registration, according to dispatch reports.
Olsen, who has blond hair and blue eyes, is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 102 pounds. When last seen Friday in Trinity County she was wearing a black peacoat, deputies said.
Anyone with information on Olsens whereabouts is asked to call 945-0646, or 245-6025 after regular business hours.
