Authorities in Tuol-umne County on Tuesday were searching for a Sonora man who vanished after a fight three days ago, while two brothers from Jamestown were arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and conspiracy in connection with the man's disappearance.

A friend of Carl Stephen Knight, 23, reported him missing Sunday, said Lt. Dan Bressler, a Tuol-umne County sheriff's spokesman. Sheriff's officials described Knight as weighing about 220 pounds and standing about 6 feet 1 inch tall with brown hair and brown eyes.

BROTHERS PLEAD GUILTY: Brothers Robert and Paul Slawinsky pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter Tuesday in Tuolumne County Superior Court in the death of Carl Stephen Knight, 23, of Tuolumne City. Knight died April 6 during a fight with the Slawinskys at their home in Jamestown. After being charged with murder four days later, they told investigators they threw Knight's body off the Jacksonville Bridge and into Lake Don Pedro. His body has not been recovered. John Hansen, a Tuolumne County prosecutor, said he will seek an 11-year term for each of the brothers. Robert Slawinsky, 28, and Paul Slawinsky, 26, will return for sentencing Aug. 11 at 3:30 p.m.
