VA - Justin Lee Martin, 22, Marion, 9 April 2008

    http://www.vsp.state.va.us/MissingPersons.shtm

Justin is a son of one of my husbands on line friends. It seems he left for work yesterday and has never been heard from or seen. My husband is working on getting some more info like what route he took to work and where he works at. I will update when I get the info.

*I hope this is the right place to post this. If not please feel free to move.

This is very close to me - I am in TN, but it's still close - and I haven't heard anything about it.

I'll go check and see if I can find anything.

From what my hubby found out: Justin is very unlikely to have just taken off. He works in Atkins at Utility Trailer and the route to work would be RT 16 to Marion VA and then RT 11 to Atkins.

That's all I know for now. I told my husband to forward Justin's dad this site. I hope he can come on and give us some info.

Thank you!!! I noticed that article said he has to take meds dailey. I wonder what for and if that could have contributed to his disappearance somehow.

This is the only other article I could find about Justin. My husband found out that Justin didn't have a cell phone on him. Does anyone here live near this area and know about the route he would have taken to work. I am wondering if it is heavily wooded? My prayers go out to his family during this time. My husband said Justin and his dad are very close and do everything together. I hope he is found soon.

    snipped from the article:
“He is a good son,” Ronny Martin said. “We didn’t have to worry about him stirring up trouble. Everybody talks about how nice and polite he is. He had no enemies.”
Becky Martin is proud of her son’s sense of responsibility. “The eighth of this month was the first night he was away from home that we didn’t know where he was at,” she said.

    and

“If he saw you walking down the road, he’d pick you up,” Davis said outside the Martin’s parents’ home. “He never met a stranger. If he saw a car broke down, he’d stop. He sure would. That’s not a safe thing to do anymore. People will wait on you in the woods and jump you.”

This just isn't looking too good for Justin. From all accounts he seems to be an outstanding young man who wouldn't have just left. What really worries me is the last qoute above. If he would have stopped to help someone and they car jacked him. The link shows a pretty good picture of his truck and with the big tires seems to a little different than most.

    Sad news

I heard about this from a friend of mine. Justin's dad, Ronny, is my friend's first cousin. I don't have any links yet, but I got an e-mail that said they found Justin's truck today. Later they found his body not too far away from where his truck was found. The family is devastated. That's all I know right now. I'll try to find an article soon.

    Found it:

The article says that he died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
