PA - Hostages Taken In Bank Suspect Surrenders

Go into a bank with something strapped to your chest, and take hostages then one would think robbery was the motive. Not in the case of Charles Cottle who took hostages in a PNC Bank in McKeesport, PA this afternoon. Nope, Cottle was having some personal problems and demanded to speak to a specific LE agent and his estranged girlfriend. He took five employees of the bank and three customers hostage. Prior to going into the bank Cottle went to a gas station. He showed his faux bomb made of paint cans and demanded a carton of Marlboro. Red I presume. Then he told the owner to call the cops as he was going to PNC. Thankfully it looks like nobody was physically harmed and Cottle surrendered with his hands up. http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5g...Uu2VwD908JRDO0

Bank bomber just wanted to die hostages relayed. Charles Cottle was disturbed by the recent death of his mother and a break up with a girlfriend. I guess he was looking for suicide by cop? Thankfully he didn't physically harm any of his hostages.
