The Francisco's bought their house in 2006 for $260,000, was it around
that time that the "secret" activity began?
Not to mention, there was an article that Nick may have posted on a site that advocated an ARM mortgage for young homebuyers...making a 30-year-fixed sound like an old fogie mortgage...so the house might have been affordable at 2006 interest rates but might have taken a sharp jump or facing a sharp jump in the future since then.

Also thinking...you don't open a "secret" paypal account for a single transaction...there must have been others....I have a paypal account, my husband knows about it....he's not in there snooping (as I haven't bothered to tell him my password), but it's not "secret" either.

What do you think he was buying? Buying sex is illegal, except in some counties in NV, so if he wasn't doing anything illegal, it must not have been sex.

Think he had a shoe fetish or was he maybe buying presents for another lover? HMMMM..... that wouldn't be illegal.

I still really think it was an account for savings. Maybe he invested in something, sold something, got a great turn around, kept investing and made some serious cash, flow. He seems savvy enough to me.

There are all kinds of fetish ideas that I can come up with that she may have found on the computer. What, if child porn or something like that had been found? Now, would THAT, make you pack up and say something like, he has shattered our lives? That is always a possibility. One I've not wanted to write but keep stumbling onto.

NF had an oppt to come across a wide range of ppl online, just as we all do. But, he was on Twitter, he was on Facebook, Myspace, ICQ Yahoo, he had several Yahoo accts, and of course Flickr, Etsy, and all the design boards & other interfaces that are new. Some are pic/video heavy. If NFs laptop was with him, at all times and it's what he mainly used....what could have CF stumbled across in her home, to make her mad enough, angry enough, hateful enough to leave her husband, whilst he had gone missing?

Now that's a very good question, Chronic.

Salem- you made me laugh with the whole shoe fetish thing.

Could Nicholas have been sending money to ladies/lady in the Phillipines? There's many of them online trying to meet men so they can get out of there. Nicholas could have been paying other women to strip on their webcams or he could have been paying the minutes for people to have phone sex with him. I'm thinking of internet sex addictions. OR, Nicholas could have been playing into others' sexual addiction and set up his own link, webcam, and paypal account in order to chat or do other things. He could have been in cahoots with women who were doing this in partnership for him. I once caught a distant cousin of mine on Yahoo with some sort of sex link that popped up. I tried to question him in email about it, but he wouldn't discuss it so I don't know how it works. I'm sure there's some way to do it so it's legal, because there are so many on Yahoo doing this.

Child porn is illegal, so probably not that.

I do agree that whatever Nic was up to, it certainly seems to have upset his wife. So sending money to ladies is a definite possibility. And of course just about any sex thing could potentially be embrassing. The sex thing generally reflects on CF&NF's intimate relationship (if it is a sex thing) which could be very hurtful to CF.

He could have been a transvestite? Used the money to buy clothes, etc. And he could have just been saving the money to get out. I'm thinking it was more than just savings though, because he didn't tell CF and the general theory is that LE found a computer trail of a "secret" life. The computer trail doesn't necessarily have to be financial in nature, but I think it is linked somewhat, because that was one of the elements of the secret life - the secret money. But whatever he was doing - it wasn't illegal. That's the biggest stumbline block for me. Everything I can think of that would be so embrassing, is illegal.

If it was just phone sex, I don't think that would be so bad because you could remain anon. But if it was websex with a webcam ...... then you could end up embrassed...

He could have been doing some webcam stuff, he could have been a porn star..... Now that would cause me to have a long talk with my SO. LOL

What if he was designing for pornographers, such as for magazines, or x rated web sites?

    Would that be illegal?

Does anyone know what software Nicholas was familiar with or used? Apparently more effort is still being used to call me names than find information that may lead to Nicholas' whereabouts.

I found some SOLID information about our Nicholas I was going to post until I read more of the name calling and people stating I was just trying to feel important or inject myself into the case. At the risk of being called a kook or someone who is only trying to feel important, I will not be posting it. The information is online to those who can find it - SOLID evidence.

As for those who are still claiming I said his connection to any software has put Nicholas or his wife in danger - I clearly stated that was another lead and had nothing to do with endangering his life. I am still called a kook because of that even though that lie was made up by someone else and regurgitated instead of reading that I made no such claims about that. It was something totally different - just like the SOLID stuff I found today.

I doubt I will be back very often. I'm tired of being called names and slandered because I will not share information that may put peoples lives in danger.

IMO, if someone does not plan on sharing what they have found, it should not be mentioned on the board.

Truly, that could generate some income. esp for offline, Mags, and what not.

But he took $50 out before he left, and to me that still bothers me greatly, thnking that he met up with someone, that he couldnt handle. Lots of men, get strange on the way home. Sad but true. So for me, I've always had trouble with that $50 withdrawl. Maybe, his wife found online activity and confronted him that night and all hell broke loose? I'd be more inclined to believe that above all else, because it's the most likely scenerio. Maybe, and you all have to consider this, Maybe LE is just saying that CF isnt a suspect, when in fact, they are looking at her very very closely? She did just run away as well, didnt she?

The whole WPP, the Witness Protection Program, is something that you are paid for. Usually in a case like that, the persons family would go with. I know because I was paid and offered complete and total WPP and turned it down. I know just how it works. Believe me when I say, your family, goes with.

I still think the most likely scenerio is that there was a fight and something happened. I dont like the "new window" of time in this case. And, I cannot look the other way, at the spouses actions. Maybe some of you can, I cannot. Secret life, double life, money trail or not. If there was a 2 yr trail, yes, then why didnt that "trail" lead right to Nick??

I agree, Chronictonic. I might go even farther though and think that the activity had been caught before, promises were made to quit, and then getting caught at it again and having to answer for it.
