Miley Cyrus’ embarrassing photo shoot


It didn’t take long for Miley Cyrus fans (and their parents) to become outraged over racy photos of the 15-year-old that appear in the June issue of Vanity Fair.
In the images, Cyrus appears topless save for a bedsheet. Not so much the image Disney is striving for, one would imagine.

All I can say is yeah, I bet she was manipulated... I mean, they are there to make her feel COMPLETELY COMFORTABLE. But her parents should have been like.... NO WAY, that is my fifteen year old baby!! WTF?!?!? She can't make that judgement for herself. Poor girl! I bet she is sick out of her head with worry right now!! She is having to grow up wayyyy too quickly.
 
Things aren't always what they appear to be, and this is one of those times. I don't have all the info, but I "heard" that she was very distressed because she was basically lied to. Disney has come out and is standing behind her. They both have apologized for this misunderstanding.
 
She should be embarrassed, but her parents should be even more embarrassed. Why do parents of celeb kids let their kids run around like they are grown? She's just a child; she shouldn't be posing like that.

My kids and I saw a picture of Miley on a magazine cover, and we all agreed that if she toned down the makeup, she'd look like a pretty teen girl. As is, she looks likes she trying to be much older than 15.

I don't know what she thought the photos would turn out like, she was half naked! Or, if she's 15 and that naive (which I doubt) where was her family, or at least her handlers?
 
They call it an "embarassing photo", but what they really should call it is child *advertiser censored*. Every adult present should be held accountable, from the PHOTOGRAPHER on down.

Good! I mean, when you are taking photos... I don't care who you are... the job of the makeup artists, the photographers, everyone working to get the shoot done is to make you feel utterly and completely comfortable. That is why things like this happen. But I mean... her parents should have been like... I don't think this is a good idea, lets not do this... I think she WAS taken advantage of and the poor girl had no one there to advocate for her. SHE IS 15 YEARS OLD!!! She can't say yes in that situation, and it is hard to say NO in that situation (even as an adult), you know?

it is definetly embarrassing, and i am sure it is going to be used by someone in a pornographic manner. i wouldn't want anyone looking at my 15 year old daughter in that light.
 
I don't care for the one where she's sprawled across daddy's lap. I don't think the bare back shot is cool for a 15 yr old girl. Especially a "Disney" girl. Where was her Disney rep? Where was her agent? Is her dad her agent? Does he just want more attention for him through her? Why couldn't he have gone bare-backed?! lol

I really hope she can stop this train now before it becomes the Spears-Lohan-Cyrus Express.

BTW, Lindsey Lohan is the one that should be really embarrassed for those Marilyn Monroe-like (not) pics! :sick:

i agree. with an empire like Hannah Montana, she should have a freakin disney handler reading her a bedtime story at night and tucking her in... and helping her brush her teeth in the am. she should NEVER be left alone for crap like this to happen, especially since disney has KNOWN what has happened in the past with some of their "child stars"!
 
I don't know, I guess it's the illusion of her being naked under that great big old sheet. But, honestly, it covers WAY more than a lot of clothes. I did a head shot of my daughter when she was wearing a strapless prom gown and my DH went nuts saying it gave the perception of her naked. Needless to say, I couldn't use that photo.
 
I don't think anybody lied, her father was present and is very active in her carreer. This is who she is, not the cute little kid so many want her to be., jmo

i guess my 7 year old won't be watching that crap anymore!

They said on the news this morning that her father was at the photo shoot:eek: . There is no way my father ever would have allowed me to have pictures like that taken at 15.

It makes me wonder if there isn't some hidden payoff to Disney when one of their own goes bad. It's happened way too often. Or maybe they are the cause of it. lol

There's NO way I would have just worn a sheet around my dad and a bunch of camera people. Geez, I hope at least it was just women on the set. :rolleyes:

Yep, and the some of the sittings with her dad looked like some sort of hillbilly love fest, not a cute father/daughter pose. I always thought Disney sold out with this one...nothing cute about her.

The photographer was a woman they said but still....never. I would have been way too embarressed to be like that at 15 around my dad. He never would have stood for that either.

I think you right. she isn't a 'normal' 15 year-old. she's been in the business for some time andhas been exposed to far more than any ordinary 15 year-old.

on the video there was someone saying in a very short time she will be 18 and what's happening is herself and her family and handlers are paving the way for her to go beyond where she is now in the public eye.

that's showbusiness. :shrug:
