Scott's case was initally called an accident, but police have since changed their classification and Scott's death is being investigated as a homicide. Scott's remains were found inside his car

This un-identified man seems to have been an attempted victim, if anyone sees any coverage other than the Mom's post, please add:

Mom's post from:

Posting from Mom of Purdue student and link:[FONT='Verdana','sans-serif'] On 4/10/08, my son, a high GPA student at Purdue University, Lafayette, IN, went into the Neon Cactus Bar in town with a friend. He spilled his drink and handed the bartender his purple cup and asked the bartender for a refill. He paused and spoke to 3 elderly women at the bar and when he turned to leave, his drink wasn't there. Then, the bartender walked clear to the end of the bar and grabbed a drink in a GREEN cup that was sitting in the center of a group of guys, who all watched him take the drink away and hand it to my son. My son remembers that he took one sip, and the drink tasted awful and bitter. He has no memory of leaving the bar. His next recollection is being forced into his car with someone else driving. He was then thrown off a bridge (he remembers holding on until his hands gave out), and recalls crawling through woods in a stupor. He still had his cell phone and he made dozens of incoherent panicked calls. Finally, cut, bleeding and bruised, he found his way to a motel where someone called him a cab. The police dismissed the situation as "too much to drink" which is NOT possible. My son was obviously drugged and someone tried to kill him but he survived to tell the story. The police interviewed the bartender who doesn't remember anything. His car was found 2 days later behind an apartment building. I am going to re-contact the West Lafayette police with the GMA story... BTW-My son is not a "partier", absolutely no drugs, a good kid, serious student, already enlisted in the Air Force. I want those responsible for this found and punished.

Wow! This could sooo be possible! Maybe this is why there's a few bartenders and restaurant owners that have disappeared AND their cars were found!

Just something to think about.

Chad Sharon fits the profile. He was a student at Notre Dame. He drowned after a night out drinking.

It is interesting to me that he is from Wisconsin.

I was looking at Wisconsin newspapers last night and realized I'm quite familiar with the town he was from, Pelican Lake. This is a tiny village, about 100 people, on a resort lake. I'd be pretty surprised--unless he made contacts via the Internet or within the college--that he would be well-known enough as a ND freshman to be a planned target.
Doesn't mean he's not part of the series.

Not Jolynna here, but I measure it out as approx. 180 miles. It's probably more like 220 when you figure in the fact there's no direct route, and US 45 is not a very good highway by Wisconsin standards.
