Millions Of Bees Invade Georgia Home

The swarm of insects moved into the walls and attic of the house in Martinez in Columbia County, according to homeowner Theresa Manning.

When she noticed bees crawling into an open space into her attic and heard scratching behind the walls she called for help.

Bee removal expert Jason Rehr expected to find a hive with several hundred bees. When he climbed into the attic he was stunned. Honey was dripping from the ceiling and down the walls. Millions of bees had turned the Manning house into their hive.

I wonder how they estimate the number of bees. Millions sounds a bit high.

p.s. Maybe this is where all of the honey bees have gone?

I just found this interesting article. The theory is that our increased use of cellphone devices are killing off the bees. Apparently the radiation from the cellphones might be interfering with the bees navigation system so they can't find their way home back to their hives.

You know that would freak me out. :0
Once years ago we had yellow jackets build a nest in a wall in our utility room. I could hear them buzzing when I put clothes in the wash. ewww Still gives me the creeps.

Thanks for that, I was wondering what was killing the bees. I seen a commercial that said save our honey bees the other day and nothing else. I had no idea they were dying and needed saved.

Oh, come on ... you mean they didn't notice all the bee activity until their entire attic was a giant hive?

They let the problem get out of hand.

A few years ago I was at my FIL's and I noticed several bees in his kitchen. Then I noticed some around a vent that came through the attic. I don't know how many bees there were, but we immediately called someone to remove them. There was no where near a million though!

    I hate bees!
