AZ University Cuts Cheerleading Squad After Racy Photos Surface On Blog

I don't see anything "racy" in the pictures...it's a freaking bra and panties! Big woo! They could have been naked, or wearing g-strings or something...maybe that would be "racy" but not this.
And to punish the whole squad for something only 6 of them did is very unfair to the rest. PLUS the squad said the pictures were 2 years old!


Arizona State University may have less cheerful sidelines at sporting events next season.
After racy photos of members of the university’s cheerleading squad were spotted on a campus blog called “The Dirty,” the school cut the squad completely, MyFOXPhoenix reported.
The school's athletic director, Lisa Love, made the decision Thursday evening.The pictures on the blog feature 6 of the cheerleaders posing in nothing but their bras and panties.
Although only six members of the squad are shown in the photographs, the entire 16-member squad will suffer the consequences, MyFOXPhoenix reported.

Maybe it's not the photographs that are actually viewed as racy. Maybe it's the blog they're posted on named The Dirty that has people so upset...:waitasec:

Personally, I see nothing wrong with the pictures.
The cheerleader's undies and bras cover more skin than most bathing suits.

I think the University is being kind of lame.

The cheerleaders told MyFOXPhoenix that the photographs were a result of college kids goofing off, and they believe the decision to disband the team has been in the works for a while. The photographs are two years old, and were taken at a “cheer party.”

This really doesn't sound like it was done in retaliation for the on-line photos. Only TWO of the girls in the photos are current squad members. Anyway, I can understand why the cheerleaders are upset about being combined with the Dance squad.

Heather and 5 other cheerleaders were going to a lingerie party and posed for the pictures before at a private "cheer-only" party. But ASU atheletic officials say they are simply combining the cheer and dance squads to enhance the fan experience. Something that's been in the works for a while.
