The sheriff's office says Tye Christopher Watkins called 911 about 6:30 Monday morning and told the dispatcher: "I just killed my parents."

Sheriff's Lt. William Terrell says deputies responded to the home in Mush Bluff, an affluent waterfront neighborhood not far from the Kings Bay Navy submarine base. He says they found 47-year-old Thomas Jefferson "TJ" Watkins and 44-year-old Cindy Trott Watkins dead of multiple gunshot wounds.

Terrell says investigators are trying to determine what prompted the shootings. The couple had reported their son missing a few hours before the killings, he said.

How many more are going to kill their parents? :(

Watkins, 23, was sentenced to life without parole Wednesday after pleading guilty to shooting to death his 47-year-old father, Thomas Jefferson "T.J." Watkins, and his 44-year-old mother, Cindy Trott Watkins, on May 5, 2008...

Watkins, a 2004 Camden County High School graduate, pleaded guilty to two counts of malice murder and single counts of burglary, theft by taking of a firearm and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime: murder.

Investigators never determined why Watkins killed them, Bridges said.
