I have read/researched a lot about the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and it is truly remarkable that a group of Jewish Resistance fighters were able to engage the German Nazi army for over 40 days while living in the sewers of Warsaw.

Mila 18 is a book by Leon Uris (author of Exodus, among other great books). Mila 18 was the headquarters during the uprising. This a great book about the uprising in Warsaw, although the characters are fictional the story is very real.
