Since Indignator brought up the website for Bootleggers, it struck me that the other bars might have sites. Even if they don't, if we could find out the bands that played...they have sites which usually have photos!

From Bootleggers, I found the band that played the night Tommy Booth went missing and lots of photos taken inside the club. Also at Bootleggers, someone was having a Bachelorette Party...so more photos are available!

It struck me that bands have followings and it is common for them to have "street teams" or fans which go out to put up posters/flyers to draw crowds. They take tons and tons of photos at the venues of their favorite band and people there.

Just going to the band's myspace, you can find out who posted they went to the club that night or was planning to go. On their sites, you can usually find photos they took (they also send them to the bands). You can also find out if there were any special occassions through their pages.

I think we can gather a lot of information on the people who were with some of these men right before they went missing if we follow this up.

Note the Upper Darby PD T-shirt on one man at Bootleggers. Police Officer? There is another photo of the same man with two "buddies". Fellow Officers?!

The band: Deja Vu

There aren't pictures on the Lone Tree website from the time that Chris Jenkins was there but here is a link in case you want to watch videos or pictures just to see what the atmosphere is like

I also found this review interesting...but again it's from 2007 and he disappeared in 2002.

Here is the bar that Brian Shaffer, Columbus, Ohio went missing from. This case is very interesting for me as he is not caught on camera leaving the bar through the only two exit points possible.

Here is a review written six months after Brian disappeared. Reader comments included:

Good Crowd ... Unfriendly Bar Staff‎ - ada321‎ - May 28, 2007Good crowd! Lots of students, but comfortable for anyone wanting a beer. Great location, especially with its balcony overlooking a shopping plaza on High Street. ...‎

Fran- did you post on the poss NY vics link as well?

Thanks, Fran! Since he went missing on a Friday nite and they only have live music (looks to be Irish) only on Tuesday nights...it wasn't much help there. However, it does give us a good idea of the people who may frequent that bar. It is upscale which separates it from the college bar scene considerably. I would say young professionals are the bulk of their clientel which is good to know.

I will contact the people at the Ugly Tuna and see if they have photos dating back that far. They aren't on the site, but it doesn't mean they don't have inside photos. It was almost Christmas and a good time for parties. Parties mean personal cameras and photo ops for their website, too.

Justin Gaines, 18, disappeared 11/02/07 - 2a.m., Duluth, Ga.

Wild Bill's

The main Wild Bill's seems to be in Atlanta, and the website seems to be for that. But the Wild Bill's in Duluth has reviews. Seems like a crazy place. :)

this is a link to the Atlanta one, it appears they're owned by the same people.

I was half asleep when I posted the Bootlegger's photos but I am glad to see that the folks here knew EXACTLY where I was trying to go with it-you guys are great!

Also note that Bootlegger's hosts a "Guest Bartender" night. I know this is common in lots of bars that cater to young people. The people that work in clubs tend to know one another and have their own social groups, since the party doesn't start for them until AFTER the bars close.

You did great for being half asleep! Thanks for putting us on this track. I, for one, think there is something to be gleaned from tracking down the photos from the bridal party and the fans of the band. It can give an accurate accounting of who he was talking to and where he was during the night before he went missing. I just hope LE or the family will follow up with it. I know without a doubt the photos are there just waiting on them to take a look for Tommy.

I also want that "cop" checked out to see if he is sporting that shirt as an actual officer or if he is pretending to be one. It is important for them to know this information.

I missed that! Now...that would allow someone to come behind the bar who could have less scruples than the normal crew. It isn't hard to spike a drink anyway, but to have access behind the bar would be a perfect chance for it. You don't know who has a "price" anyway. Someone could also tip a lot of money to get a drink spiked.

I have avoided expressing this opinion, but I don't trust information coming from the barstaff in any of these cases. Bar and restaurant folks are a breed of their own and that is coming form someone who has family in the business. Most people on the level but also a lot of cocaine use (helps with late hours) as well as romantic triangles and alcohol use. These activities make people do dumb things, get into compromising situations. Even the clean ones have to protect themselves from lawsuits and make sure the club is presented in a favorable light. They tend to hang out together since they share the same late night schedules. Some are openly hostile to patrons even when they have contributed to making a normally nice person an obnoxious drunk. Many bar owners enjoy collecting the cash from all this drinking but have zero tolerance for what that drinking creates-drunks. The people at Bootleggers might be very nice, I don't know them and I am not speaking of them in particular, just barworkers in general.

Indigator, I completely agree with you. And from the Chris Jenkins case file we know there was plenty of drama going around at that club.

You are correct, Indigator. I know plenty of people in the restaurant/bar biz. They love the money and hate the drunks. They do tend to hang out together and have a very tight knit group even with other restaurant/bar staffs. Alot do get into the drug scene and others drink or party after work.

A band called drowning pool used to play at Kickers in Clarksville Tennessee.I don't know if they were playing the night in question.I thought it might be worth mentioning because the name is creepy.
