Husband remains in custody after police confirm body is missing BBC make-up artist wife

The husband of a missing TV make-up artist has been arrested, just hours after human remains were found in woodland yesterday.

David Chenery-Wickens, 51, is being questioned by detectives investigating the disappearance of his wife 48-year-old Diane in January.
He had previously been arrested on suspicion of her murder and had his police bail extended to May 30 pending further inquiries.

Diane Chenery-Wickens, 48, was reported missing by her husband David, a spiritualist vicar, nearly four months ago.

nothing spiritual about HIM! :furious::furious::furious:

The couple were planning to separate and sell their home in Duddleswell, five miles from where the body was found.

I say this just about sums things up.

Another ! At least, they found her body so her family won't have to wonder like so many others. :( RIP Diane

Chenery-Wickens, 52, showed no reaction as he was sentenced by Mr Justice Cooke to a minimum term of 18 years for the murder of his 48-year-old wife...

For a decade, Mr Chenery-Wickens... was juggling at least 10 lovers. Mrs Chenery-Wickens... ignored rumours of his infidelity, telling friends they were "soul mates" and supporting him financially despite mounting debts. But his deception was revealed when she discovered calls on their phone bill to a mistress and a gay sex chatline. When she confronted him, he lost his temper and she paid with her life...

There had been no attempt to bury the body, which had been partially eaten by animals. Police scientists could not tell exactly how Diane Chenery-Wickens died, but said that she was probably strangled. Her killer had placed her favourite cowboy boots next to her body to suggest she had taken her own life, but forgot to take out the shoe trees inside.
