This mom is lucky to be alive and totally stupid for leaving a loaded gun out on her nightstand.

I hope she is charged in this when she recovers. I also hope the little girl gets some help because you know this is traumatic.

Pix, she's already been charged with child neglect in 2003 for leaving her then five year old son in an electronics store for over an hour and a half while she shopped elsehwere in a mall. In 2006 she violated her probation from that case.

Mrs. Brijmohan was also arrested in 2004 for trying to run over her husband with her Lexus, and punching him in the mouth. She's got two shoplifting charges as well besides those two injuries. The link says the gun belonged to her husband who left it there after he heard a noise the night before. Obviously they weren't worried about securing their firearms. Makes a person wonder. I'd think the little girl would have got freaked out after the first shot recoil and all.
