FL FL - Peggy Houser, 18, Tampa, 14 June 1981

Not a Doe member, but I just wanted to say the teeth on the Doe look similar to Teresa's teeth. I wonder if they could tell how long the victim had been deceased?

From my experience, whoever does find this, please send it in a PM. They don't like to share info, and are very willing to kick people off. :confused:

Could this be a possible match??

On the picture it seems as if she has a gab between her front teeth.

What do you think?

Are you reading my Mind? (Or just my puter!! LOL) I was look at this JD earlier today!

I also was looking at...http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/c/cappel_susan.html

Becuase she also has a tooth "crooked"... Your match though is better... You see how her right eye is kinda shut and so is the one on the recon. I wonder if that was on purpose?

If you take a look at the pictures on her webpage (I posted the link) - there is no pictures of her smiling with her mouth open. I guess that a girl her age would try to hide her teeth when they are crooked??!!

I think you are right - I'll have to look into that a little more.... tomorrow - right now it's past midnight in Denmark, and I really need to get some sleep :)

You are right - on the website her father made it says she has a 1/16" gab in the center of her upper teeth.

I would like to know the estimatet time of death of the Jane Doe.

Susan went missing in March 1982 and the Jane Doe was found January 1982. Darn!

Have anyone seen this Jane Doe on other webpages? I wish I knew when she died.

Have you heard anything back about whether or not they think Audrey would be a match for this UID woman?

I didn't turn her in - since I'm living in Denmark, it is complicated due to the time-difference - but if anyone would, please go a head :)

I still haven't found any information on the estimated time of death on the UID.

I see that Peggy Sue Houser is listed in NamUs as a rule-out for this UID - But how in the "H" can this not be a match? There must be a mistake!!!

* Both PSH and the UID are from TAMPA.
* The UID's skeletal remains were found on January 3, 1982, (i.e., 5 1/2 months or 203 days after PSH's Date of Last Contact)
* Both PSH and the UID have identical gaps, between 7 and 8 AND between 8 and 9. IN ADDITION TO A LARGER GAP behind 7.
* Four of PSH's upper teeth, and two lower teeth never erupted. The UID has retained her primary deciduous (i.e., baby teeth) in place of her second molars (i.e., 2, 15, 18, and 31), and the two upper wisdom teeth (i.e., 1 and 16) were impacted (as were her lower wisdom teeth). The only difference here is the distinction between impacted and unerupted.
* PSH's height (5'4" to 5'5") matches spot-on to the UID.
* PSH's age (18) is within range for the UID (14 - 20)
* PSH's B&W photo overlays very cleanly to the straight-on view of the reconstruction. (except that the UID Recon's teeth aren't clenched, so the chin aligns a little lower than PSH's chin)

Somebody had to have ruled these two cases out in error.

WHAT GIVES???!!! :waitasec::waitasec::waitasec:

Does someone want to contact LE or case manager at NAMUS/Identifyus to see what the basis of the rule out was?

I saw the dentals for the Jane Doe, but it says PSH's are available. Now, I have a current pet case where LE just had the MSP's dentals re-read by a forensic odontologist because the info scanned into the report at NAMUS was incorrect. So it happens.

This is quite a compelling comparison. I am certainly no forensic expert but I can see from the limited views here a difference in the chin/jaw structure between the two. Houser appears to have a slightly forward tilt to her lower jaw whereas the UP does not. Also Houser has a 'flatter' face, the cheek bones of the UP being more prominent than Houser. Third, I see the brow bone structure being less prominent in Houser. I did not check to see if the reason was given but that would be interesting to know.
ETA the gap on the side of Houser appears wider than that of the UP. jmo
