Has anyone heard or seen SoonerFan? She just made that one post and I have been looking forward to hearing from her on local information she had since she lived in the area (or used to) (?).

No I have not Littledeer, let's hope Soonerfan comes back to us.

Thank you this forum Mods, SS, Christine etc, and for all the research everyone is doing.

Hey guys for some reason when I want to post a pic the manage attachments icons do not appear. Is it just me? This has never happen before. thanks GS

I'm dense today, don't really know what you're sayin'. Are you just trying to post a photo, or other?

Yes. I remember the button & it says manage attachment then you hit browse & then upload.

You have to upload your photos to a sharing site, then you get the link from there..........is that what you mean?

Tom'sGirl:

That's a good link! Maybe I should start a thread titled "Helpful Links"?

Wait a sec though, that is in the WS FAQ's, right? Guess I don't need to post it anywhere.

Don't thank me! I had nothing to do with it. :)

I wish Soonerfan would come back, too. We need someone in the immediate area or with family there to find out the tid bits of what is going on.

The search included police dogs, aircraft, and law enforcement officers on the ground.

A massive manhunt had law enforcement chasing ghosts in Okmulgee County on Tuesday. Police say the teenage tipster who sparked the hunt, failed a lie detector test and made the whole thing up.

Never mind I just remember reading about a mans body found in water

BARNSDALL- Search and rescue teams have discovered the body of a Barnsdall man in Bird Creek in Osage County. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the body of 28-year-old Michael Todd Reed was pulled from the Creek Friday morning

The patrol is investigating Reed's death as a possible suicide.
The patrol report indicates Reed told a bartender in Barnsdall Thursday night that he was having family problems and that he was going to the bridge to kill himself. Reed also called his grandfather, who found some of Reed's personal items at the end of the bridge and notified authorities. Reed's body was found about 200 yards east of the bridge in about 10 feet of water.

Another FYI I thought interesting
Law officers destroy 2,000 pot plants

McALESTER — Law enforcement officers destroyed more than 2,000 marijuana plants Friday afternoon in a rural area west of McAlester.

Undersheriff Richard Sexton said the Narcotics Task Force of the McAlester Police Department received a tip about a marijuana patch on the western edge of Pittsburg County.

The Sheriff's Office was contacted, and both agencies were involved in the eradication after attempting to gather evidence that might lead them to whoever grew the marijuana.

Although no arrests had been made as of Friday evening, the investigation was ongoing. Sexton said the property owner "for sure" was not a suspect in the case.

Sexton could not estimate the marijuana's value but said it was the largest amount he'd seen seized in several years.

Hello to everyone. I came across this and thought it interesting that there is such a meth problem in Oklahoma. I know some have discussed this already. Apparently on the road and at Bad Creek there were people using this drug. I am curious to know more about this drug. I hear it is deadly.

http://newsok.com/article/3261363?topten_check=yes

Everywhere the former Oklahoma football player looked, people were doing meth. The couple who lived in the house was smoking it, but so were their grown children.
It was 3 a.m. on a Wednesday. It was a shot of reality.

How does methamphetamine work?
Methamphetamine releases high levels of dopamine in the brain, a neurotransmitter that is associated with pleasurable or rewarding experiences.
After it is taken in oral form, the user experiences increased wakefulness and physical activity, and decreased appetite. For some patients, even low doses can be addictive.
With higher doses of methamphetamine, especially if it is smoked or injected, the user immediately experiences an intense "rush" (also called a "flash") that causes intense pleasure but only lasts a few minutes. Users can become addicted and dependent quickly, needing more and higher doses as the addiction progresses.
In high doses, methamphetamine causes irritability, insomnia, confusion, hallucinations, anxiety, paranoia and increased aggression. In even higher doses, hypothermia and convulsions can cause death

Thanks Tomsgirl for posting this pic and the others as well.

I wonder about this one of Peter Placker. He is wearing a nice clean, crisp white shirt. Was this not taken after the deaths of Tayor and Sklya, after going out in the heat looking for them, finding them, getting close enough to get Taylor's cell phone, out on a dirt road, flagging down Sklya's (mother"), breaking the news to her, holding her back, and still wearing a clean white shirt? Can I assume that he has changed as I would think that after such a horrid ordeal that sweat, soil, dust, blood, gun residue and such would somehow have dirtied up his shirt somewhat?

I believe this is a still image from a video interview. It would have been the next day (or within the week fallowing the murders) - not the day the murders occurred. By the time any media arrived to shoot video on Sunday (when they were killed) it was dark.
I haven't seen any close-ups of Peter Placker taken the day the girls died. I am sure he looked dreadful, he did at the funeral.
