Here are the links for the two cases-
Racine WI Jane Doe, found 1999
    http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/199ufwi.html
    and Hot Case 863-
Jane Doe found Feb 1978, San Diego county, CA
    http://www.doenetwork.org/hot/hotcase863.html

There definitely are some similarities- both young women found tortured and burned, both had deformities of their right ear which is sort of an odd coincidence. There is a 20 year time difference though it looks like. Still, interesting.

For hot case 863, I was wondering if there are any possible matches to any missing person reports?

I did a quick search on Doe Network- just for girls about the right age/size, etc and found a few. Here are the links if you want to take a look, there are probably more on Doe Network that I missed.

A dead-end trail that sticks most in Larkie's mind began and ended in a rocky ravine in Proctor Valley , in eastern San Diego County. There the body of a Caucasian girl he estimated to be 14 to 17 had been dumped. Larkie said she appeared to have been tortured and set afire.

Because she was so young, Larkie was sure she would be quickly identified, probably by a concerned mother. He was wrong. Today, seven years later, the girl remains a Jane Doe.

ETA: I've looked and can't find a NamUS entry for her. I don't seem to know how to search there effectively. If someone else wants to double check, that would be awesome.

A composite sketch of a 1978 “Jane Doe” found poisoned on Valentine’s Day was made public Thursday in the hope someone would recognize her.
I think a frontal view would be more helpful, but this was the only pic available at the link.

That case is now 857UFCA. And there are two frontal facial reconstructions of her.

There still is no NamUs casefile for her

Here's a new listing in Charley Project for a girl from the San Diego area, missing since 1977.

    Kimberly Cozart

    http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/..._kimberly.html

She's not listed in NamUs (or at least not published)

Her approximate Date LKA was a full year before this Jane Doe was found. But her date LKA is approximate, and we don't really know the circumstances of her disappearance.

I would like to know what kind of poison was used on this girl. There could be a connection with Carolyn Davis who was also poisoned. http://zodiackiller.fr.yuku.com/repl...s#reply-146089 http://www.santarosahitchhikermurders.com/davis.html

It appears from the drawing that her #7 tooth was a little shorter than the adjecent #8. If so, she probably wouldn't be Kimberly Cozart, as Kim's teeth are pretty straight.

It says one of the Jane Doe's front teeth was broken in half maybe it was the #7? http://www.sdsheriff.net/coldcase/543957/index.html
