Case History
On November 10, 1985, the skeletal remains of a female and one female child were located in Allenstown, NH.

The bodies, wrapped in plastic strips, was found by a hunter in a wooded area between the Bear Brook Gardens trailer park and Bear Brook State Park in Allenstown. They were in a wooded area far from any roads. The cause of each death was repeated blows to the head from a blunt instrument, although there was evidence of other injuries.

On May 9, 2000, the skeletal remains of two additional female children were recovered. DNA testing confirmed that two of the children were biologically related to the adult female. All four victims may be biologically linked, but DNA results are still pending.

All four decedents are believed to be Caucasian or Native American and they are believed to have died in the early 1980's.

I did a search for this case and couldn't find anything posted yet.

This is a case where an adult woman and a young girl age 5-10 yrs were found in 1985 in the woods in Allenstown NH. 15 years later in 2000 the remains of 2 more young girls were found (apparently in the same woods?). All of them died of blows to the head.
DNA tests proved that 2 of the 3 children were related to the woman, DNA is still pending on the 3rd. One of the girls found in 2000 does not have a case file on DoeNetwork but here are the ones that are listed. There are reconstruction pics on DN site too but the post is kind of long already so I left them out.

Oh my! Kismet:)
I just posted this too.
ETA- I ws so slow writing mine that this whole thread appeared in the meantime. I think we must be twins? Can we get the threads merged or should I delete mine? How does that work in cases of cosmic coincidence lol?

hey, this was just posted by assaf1981. That's crazy that both of you where looking at the same case at the same time. Is there a psycic link going on here or what.

I know! I just saw Assafs post when I went to see if mine showed up:) I am so slow it was not there when I started writing and then it was lol. I think we must be psychic or something.

I think it's a sign and we should really look into this especially since it was 15 years later that they found the 2 other remains. This possibly was over looked and someone who was looking for a woman and her 2 children may not have thought there was a connection. Very interesting.

This is under 1 year though between the disapearance and the bodies being found but it is a mother and daughters and RI is near NH. Mother could have met some one, run off with him with the kids, all of them murdered by this person.

3rd child, the one between 5-10 yo could be this one

What do ya'll think?

WEll? Talk to LE aBOUT the possible match.

I think the hair color on the girl from New Hampshire is too light for it to be Tammy Bolanger. Its listed as dark blond/light brown and Tammys hair was pretty dark brown.

My guess is all 3 girls are probably related to the woman. The DNA on the 3rd girl hasn't been ruled out or anything, it seems like the test just either isn't done yet or hasn't been listed?

Why does a mother in this scenario even need to have run off with someone? I mean obviously if there is evidence that she did run off with an individual then I'd accept that but if a mother and her children all disappear from a contact dispute then the default response is that it is a familial abduction unless there is evidence to the contrary.

On the basis that any mother and her two or three daughters would be noted and identified very quickly then it seems more likely that we are dealing with a presumed familial abduction - and probably 95% or more of the time that presumption would be right.

Of course the fact that the bodies were not found at the same time may have hindered any identification by causing investigators to look for a missing individual rather than a family.

Sleuther - call them in. Look like some good possibilities. If they are not matches, I would suggest looking for missing families from states further away. It seems that this would have received publicity when the bodies were first found. Back in 1984 people were not really on the net, so most of the media attention was probably local. And it appears, it did not result in identification of the bodies. I'm thinking this family is probably from Canada or California....

This was the only mother and 2 daughters I could find from 1978-85 on doenetwork and missingchildrens websites. I havent checked Canada though. I wish they had the age of the other child.
The thing that may have prevented them from matching this prior was the fact that they didnt find the other 2 girls for 15 years. I wonder what made them go back and search.

I will call it in tommorow and let ya'll know what they say.

Thanks

Dont think its them now. Found lots of additional info on this site.

https://identifyus.org/?p=search&s=results&n=1&sb=DateFound_DESC

The pic on doenetwork of the 1 yo shows really short hair and the 1-3 yo hair was 8-12 inch.No way.
Also mother was late 30s when disappeared and doe is late 20's to early 30's. She is also 5'0 and doe was 5'2-5'7.

More clues on this site though.
Will continue to search. Someone had to notice mother and 2-3 children missing.

Mods- could you maybe see if its possible to merge this thread with Assaf1981s thread on the same cases? We posted them at the same time so I didn't realize there was already a thread on this case. Thanks:) and sorry for the confusion.

Also here are some other details on this case- from the Unidentified Decedents Reporting System-

The 3rd girl that was found does not have a Doe Network page but is listed on UDRS as being between 4-8 years old. She had a noticeable overbite and is listed as being 3'8" tall.

EDIT_ Assafs thread is "Unidentified girl found in allenstown new hampshire"

Is there no doenetwork page for the third child?

No, she doesn't have a Doe Network page right now. The other 3 do, but not the 4-8 year old.
I do see that Doe Network lists the UDRS site at the source, and it looks like these cases have only been on UDRS for about 10 days or so (since july 2nd 08).
Maybe its so new they just aren't done putting it up yet?

I did a little searching and found three missing family members from RI, only problem is the differences of missing dates listed on their pages, one website will say Aug of 1985 then three others say something totally different. anyways, does anyone know about the Yates missing mother and two daughters? have conflicting dates on all the pages I have searched. Here is one link:
