MI - South Haven, BlkFem 75UFMI, 35-50, Lake Michigan, May'07 - Eurethia Jamison

Okay, I have never done this so please go easy on me!

Please let me know if you think this could be a possible match:

    and

    Tina Michelle Forrester
    http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/...ster_tina.html

I don't think it's her because Tina is not mentioned as having dentures and the UID had them. Also, the UID had been in the water for weeks to months and Tina went missing 2/06 and the UID was found 5/07.

Looks like a possibility. The Jane Doe had removable dentures. We would need to know if Tina had dentures.

Tina Forrester's Namus page but there is no dental info so it's of little help.

Here's the DoeNet casefile for the UID that HesterMofet is referring to:

    Interesting?

Scanning through these older Michigan posts and came across Jewel Coffee. She isn't listed in the Doe Network nor the Charley Project. I thought she looks so much like the UF here. No dental or DNA info for her.

    What do you think?

I dunno. She looks pretty close on many fronts, but there's no mention of the dentures. I'm also not sure how they'd establish identification if she doesn't have DNA, prints, or dental info.

This Jane Doe has now been identified as Eurethia Jamison from Chicago. It is not exactly clear from the news report video but it looks like Eurethia was African American whereas Doe Network said she was a white female. Video at the link below.

Body of woman found in South Haven identified nearly a decade later

SOUTH HAVEN, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A missing woman, discovered dead in West Michigan, has been identified by a local sheriff's department miles from home, nearly a decade later.

With the help of new testing, a family is just now getting closure, more than 7 years after a woman's remains were discovered off the coast of South Haven.

It was May of 2007, that a group of fishermen discovered the body of a woman floating in the water.

Most likely because skeletal markers of ethnicity/race can be ambiguous, misleading, or just plain wrong, especially if somebody's mixed race--and note that genetic race often has no connection to a person's cultural/racial identification. In many cases an individual might not even be aware of the mixing. An AA relative of mine who did the DNA testing for fun was quite surprised to find out she had a caucasian grandparent, but the family confirmed it and was surprised my relative didn't know. I notice the article doesn't mention any racial mismatch.

The picture they showed of her, which appears to be from her driver's license, isn't very good but I managed to get a screen capture of it. (That's why there's an arrow on her nose ). The plainest sketch seems to have quite a close resemblance.
