Nancy Cooper

http://news14.com/content/headlines/...r/Default.aspx

Quote:
At 8 a.m. Sunday, friends, neighbors and authorities gathered to make a plan to find 34-year-old Nancy Cooper.

Quote:
"She doesn't just not show up," neighbor Diana Duncan said. "There's no way she would go two hours without knowing where her kids are and how they are."

Sunday's early articles mentioned Mrs. Cooper's children but not her husband. The below article says the husband was at home with the children. (Now my hinky meter is up.)

Quote:
Duncan says she’s known Cooper since Cooper moved to Cary from Canada eight years ago. She said Cooper's husband Brad Cooper was at home with the couple's two young daughters, ages 4 and almost 2.

Quote:
"It's overwhelming. It's hard to get your head around. Unbelievable really," Cooper's friend Theresa O'Driscoll said. "She's a great person in the community. She's very outgoing, very athletic, very friendly, a lot of people know her, a lot of people have come out just because they recognize her picture."
Police say Cooper's husband was the last person to see her Saturday morning, but do not consider him a suspect.
Quote:

A ground and air search has turned up a few items, police won't specify what they are, but say none of them led them to Cooper.

Essica Adams, a friend of Cooper, reported her missing at 2:15 p.m. when she failed to show up for a visit, police said at a press conference Monday evening.

Brad Cooper told police his wife went out for a jog around 7 a.m. Saturday but did not return by 9 a.m. as planned.

When asked why Brad Cooper had not called police about his wife, Cary police Chief Bazemore said, "We don't know why the husband didn't report her missing."

Pat Bazemore is the chief of police of Cary. She said this at the presser: "At a press conference Monday evening, Bazemore said Cooper's husband did not report her missing. He did not say why Brad Cooper didn't report his wife missing.
"She went out running, was going to help friend paint and didn't show up. A friend called 911 just before 3 p.m. to report her missing," Bazemore said. "The last person who actually saw her was Brad Cooper when she came home that night and first thing in the morning."
No word of the kids also saw her. The children have been with father, family and friends."

The body hasn't been identified yet. They're hoping that will be done sometime this morning. They showed her husband thanking the volunteers yesterday. The best friend's name is Clea Morwick. She said that Nancy jogged with a partner a lot but that it wasn't unusual for her to go alone. She said that she knew Carrie, the friend Brad said that she was supposed to be jogging with. Carrie said that they hadn't planned to jog together that day. Megan Kelly asked about marital problems. Clea said that Nancy wouldn't run off on her own--that she would never leave for any reason. She said there was no reason to believe Brad would do anything and that he had been out there as much as anyone else. Nancy wouldn't have taken off for some down time. She always showed up when she said she would. There was no way that she would have gone off to meet someone. The night before she went missing. she mentioned that she was going jogging the next morning. Clea said that she has to be strong for Nancy's family. She's hoping that the body they found isn't Nancy.

"The wheel that is our family is missing a spoke. And while that wheel is now forever changed, it's incumbent on us to adapt so we may continue to spin," Cooper's brother, Jeff Rentz, said. "Nancy is a mother, a daughter and a sister, and that's how we'll keep her alive in our hearts."

http://www.wral.com/news/local/story/3207944/

Nancy's brother is a traffic constable in Canada. His mother stated at one of the pressors that he tried college but did not like it and went to school to be a cop. She said he loves what he does and she is very happy that he loves what he does.

The wheel that is our family is missing a spoke," said Jeff Rentz, Nancy's brother, an Edmonton police constable with southeast division. He sat beside Bazemore(Cary police chief Pat Bazemore ) as she made the announcement.

Interesting that Nancy's brother is an Edmonton police constable AND that the Cary police chief is female. I'll bet they are all over the legal aspects of this case. Brad picked the wrong girl to mess with.

Fox news is sure following this case. Just reported that two detectives have just brought out 6 evidence bags from the house but the majority remain inside the home. They hve looked inside the BMW suv in the drive through the windows but have not removed it or entered it at this time.

Another oddity, Brad Cooper's family in Medicine Hat were not aware Nancy was even missing until Tuesday. Brother is on the way.

Not to be a wet blanket, but we don't know how long his brother has been married or whether he eloped. For all we know, the brother may have had a quickie wedding last year and he may have called his family afterwards. We do seem to have an indication of how long Nancy and Brad were married, but again, we don't actually know the circumstances of their wedding.

Very strange - too distraught to even call his own family ? Hmmmm

brad's brother is Grant Cooper and it was aleged that her sisterinlaw had never met her (or her kids) yet. I will try to find that exact post and will eta it asap

Friends, family and neighbors say they are shocked by the murder of Nancy Cooper and they are in disbelief that a homicide like this could take place in their community.
"I would have never guessed it would happen in Lockmere," Cooper's neighbor Rachel Bentley said.

Rachel Bentley has lived in the Lockmere neighborhood since she was a child and grew to love her home and neighbors like the Coopers.

"My parents always told me this is a safe place to live and I shouldn't be scared," Bentley
said.
