Because the posters here are so on top of things the CBC, Canadian Broadcasting Company in Edmonton, is going to interview me in about 30 minutes about Websleuths, this case, and posting on the Internet about true crime. The host is Ron Wilson

Here is the link.

http://www.cbc.ca/edmonton/

You all are making quite a splash in Canada. :)

There might be some negative things said about us too. I am sure the host will be a great interviewer who will present two sides to the issue of true crime discussions. Some like us...some don't.

You guys ROCK:woohoo::woohoo:

I hope I am listening to the right live link. It is sports talk right now.

No clue who they are talking about.

You will be on at 7:15 mountain time !!! I'm listening ! LOL

They're doing national and International news now.

Big thanks to Seriously Searching and Blink34 who worked all weekend to pull together case summary, key players, and WS/Media information so that Tricia could get prepared for this interview.

Thanks U 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!:blowkiss::blowkiss:

I'll try and take notes. Hopefully some of my friends from the Edmonton area will hear the interview and begin to understand my addiction to WS ! :D

yup!

I'll try to take some notes.

traffic and weather right now.

Parents just returned with 2 daughters.

Memorial service will be held.

No suspects.

Weird to hear Tricia's voice!!!

Telling what WS is.

This case has taken off.

Q: Who belongs?

Everyone from ex LE to ex military to lots of lawyers to young people who want to get involved. All over the world.

Anonymous. Free.

Q: Why are they so interested in NC?

Formula. Loving mother who disappears. Husband who didn't report her missing - red flag to WS members. We know it is going to steamroll and grow bigger and bigger, and that's exactly what happened.

Nancy Cooper case takes off.
We help missing children and families. etc.
Free
Get involved
Who gets involved.
T Lots of lawyers, police officers, regular people from all over the world. T does not whose on WS, Users use hats.
Formula For NC case, great mom, h does not report missing. WS members know its going to get bigger. More media attention in media and WS.
Steam roll , t personally believes because a friend reports missing instead of husband, makes antennae go up. Does T become part of investigation? Rarely.

T expect LE to be reading on WS.
Talk abt drawing conclusion before tried.
REF to Elizabeth Smart case.
Lesson not to convict until....
Whats posted on WS is wha tmost people are thinking.
Welcome Brads lawyer to come on and post.

We do have LE from all over the world reading.

Q: do you ever become part of the investigation?

Rarely. Sometimes we don't even know they are reading there. Occasionally she gets a subpoena b/c they believe a poster has info. All she has is an email and IP address, so not too much help.

Q: Sometimes people make up their own minds, can be the downside of a website. How big of a concern is that for you?

A very big concern. Remembering back to Elizabeth Smart. Her big lesson about not convicting an innocent person. Only discussing people in the public domain. What we're posting on WS is what most people are thinking.

If BC or his attorney want to come on and post, we'd welcome them. We are just going by what we hear in the media.

That's it. What a great job Tricia does of not sounding like a kook!

:crazy::crazy::crazy:

We have them totally fooled.

:blowkiss:

Tricia explained Websleuths- on line community that discusses true crime
- who belongs ? runs the gamut from ex policemen, lots of lawyers to ordinary people
- from all over the world
-" I don't know who they are"
- why NC case has taken off
- first big red flag-- a husband who did not report her missing
- makes our attenna go up

Lots of law enforcement get on and read
occasionally ( rarely ) will WS become involved
Occasionally will get a subpoena about a poster who seems to have info
Unfortunately can only give an ip and a e-mail

people will draw their own conclusions

last thing thing she wants is to accuse an innocent person ( ref to Elizabeth Smart case)

But once a person is in the public domain .....
What we post on WS is what the public is thinking

Occasionally there is inside info ( as in theis case)
