Armed 85-year-old woman makes intruder call cops

An 85-year-old woman boldly went for her gun and busted a would-be burglar inside her home, then forced him to call police while she kept him in her sights, police said. "I just walked right on past him to the bedroom and got my gun," Leda Smith said.

Ms. Smith called the incident "exciting," and said she hopes it ends a string of burglaries in the Lake Lynn area, police said.

I saw this on the news. Wow! I can't begin to imagine how humiliating it must be for the kid. talk about getting whooped by a girl!

I hope this makes people think twice before deciding seniors are too easy prey.

    You go Grandma!
