NC - Registered Sex Offender Does Whatever He Pleases No Problem

Convicted. Indecent Liberties With Children. Crimes Against Nature.

That gets you 90 days of house arrest and a heap load of parole. Big whoop. Still Joel Petteway who was found guilty of the above crimes figures he'd do alot of cocaine and drive impaired. That was last year and just now the guy gets jail time.

I feel so sorry for the victims of these creeps. A guy that hurts kids and drives around high putting people at risk and it's no big deal.

Sure seems like the system works real well for the criminals doesn't it! That is how it makes the victims feel anyway. I believe if a person harms a child in any way he/she should lose every right they ever had. Wish the idoits who make the laws felt the same way.

Have you ever stopped to think about the penalties for a person who assaults someone on the street corner or who steals money? Generally they will get more penalties than someone who molests a kid or commits domestic violence.

It never has failed to amaze me.
In the years I spent working for the Dept.Of Corrections in this state I saw it time and again.
A predatory sex offender would get a 10 year sentence (usually out on parole much, much earlier)
And some dumb ass who got drunk and stole a motorcycle engine would get 15.
Ive come to feel Judges have way too much latitude sometimes.
