CayleeAnthony.org Domain Name For Sale On Ebay
According to the listing, the money from the sale of this domain name is going to charity, however, at the bottom of the listing is a disclaimer. Someone is going to profit off of this and I find it disgusting.
"Up For Auction Is The Domain Name:
100% Of This Auction Will Go Directly To Operation Lookout National Center For Missing Youth.
(at bottom of listing is this
Please NOTE~ VERY IMPORTANT Disclaimer:* This Domain Name Purchase Is To Be Used By Whomever Wins This Auction In A RESPECTFUL Way Which Honors Little Caylee Anthony; This Means This Domain Name Is To NOT In Any Way, Shape Or Form Be Used For Pornographic, Gambling, Or Other Horrible And Dishonoring Purposes Of That Type Of Nature.* This Domain Name Is To REMAIN At All Times Respectful For This Child.***
I Cannot Control What The Winning Bidder Ultimately Does With This Domain Name/Website~ However, I Plead With The Winning Bidder To Build A Website In Honor Of Caylee Anthony, Her Story, Awareness For Missing And Exploited Children, Etc.** Again, I Cannot Control This"...

That's the internet for you.
The Anthonys were savvy enough to rush to the internet as soon as they found out Caylee was missing.... they should have been savvy enough to put together a good team to help them anticipate all the crazy things that will be heading their way.
Something like this is pretty predictable & they should have had the foresight to buy the domains themselves.
It won't be long now before Cindy & George start suing people left & right for all sorts of things.

That reminds me. Back in the early days of this case, everybody was searching for caseyomarie and Casey's presence on the internet. I found caseyomarie who uses that same name and yahoo email on Ebay. She had a 0 feedback score.
I just thought I'd share. It doesn't mean anything. lol

After just reading the title of this thread I knew someone would find a way to blame George and Cindy for this.

I have a good friend whose son was murdered 15 years ago along with two of his friends. It's a pretty high profile case that still gets media attention. Occasionally, "artists" will create their "interpretation" of the murders and will try and sell their "artwork" on Ebay and other auction sites.
Another friend bought one of them, just to have it removed. It just disgusts me that there are people who are more than willing to make a buck off the suffering of others. I hope the buyer doesn't do a single thing with the name.

If I am around, and the bid hasn't gone much of anywhere, I think I'll snipe the bid. And then create a memorial site or something. Why didn't the person auctioning it just create a site. Sheesh.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

No one has bid yet. I thought of bidding $1 but thought that would be an insult to Caylee but that's all I can afford right now.Truth is not only violated by falsehood; it may be equally outraged by silence.

How sad and disgusting that someone would consider to sell an e-bay site in that manner.

i just sent them (renewingme) an email telling them what a lowlife they are for trying to capitalize on the misfortune of this precious lil baby. I also told them ebay should ban them

I mean, do we have any proof that the seller really intends to donate the money from the sale to a charity? Not imo!

I bet if enough people complain about it, Ebay will remove it.
