    Hurricane Ike

They're spitting them out at us like little cannon balls.

Hanna is still out there and Ike is on his way.

That one behind Ike (coming off the coast of Africa) looks like it may develop into something here, too, very soon!!!

see Ike's projected path - scroll down a little ways on the page.

LOL I know, right? I'm so sick of bad weather, the rain, now all of these storms. Anyone with children will know how I'm dealing with all of this with 4 kids and 4 dogs all stuck in the house for days on end. And, on top of it all, our county just announced that there is no school tomorrow. YAY, NOT! lol

Hurricane Ike exploded this evening from a tropical storm to a Category 4 hurricane that is expected to grow stronger.

The AccuWeather.com Hurricane Center reports that Hurricane Ike rapidly intensified today, reaching Category 4 strength this evening.

Ike is now the third major hurricane of the 2008 season.

Ike continues to move to the west-northwest more than 610 miles northeast of the Leeward Islands, with winds near 135 mph.

The potent storm is expected to pass close to or even over the Leeward Islands on Friday, then near or over the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico on Saturday.

Ike has the greater potential to impact the U.S. than Tropical Storm Hanna. According to Expert Senior Meteorologist John Kocet, by Sunday Ike will be in a position close to where Hanna is Wednesday, and could reach the Southeast Coast by the middle of next week.

I love the Alabama gulf coast, especially Fort Morgan. Stay safe Petresq and all our friends in Florida, Miss and Louisiana.

Maybe we should of named it hurricane Yike!

My opinion and nothing but my opinion.

Tor:Con Index link below. Will show you the probability of a tornado happening in your area.
    http://www.weather.com/news/tornado-torcon-index

FEMA's link for Emergency Supplies list below or what you need to survive for three days in case help is not immediately available to you.

You can also purchase a weather radio which will inform you of severe weather even if your electricity goes out. Runs on batteries of course.
