Hey - I just had an epiphany! :) Okay, Amscott is a payday check place, right? Casey had a great job at Universal, so why would she need a loan? She didn't want to blow her cover, so she told Tony that she ran out of gas and someone pushed her into that parking lot. When maybe she was getting a loan and her car ran out of gas. Maybe the reason she didn't go back and get it is because she filed for the loan, and got money, under false pretenses and didn't want to get busted by going back.

The reason for this post was to show that maybe not all of her lies had to do with Caylee. Some of them also had to do with getting away with fraud. But she doesn't want to incriminate herself by telling the truth regarding Caylee, and getting in trouble for fraud, and vice versa.

No offense but ... Ouch! ... my head hurts! I don't doubt that Casey lied about things other than Caylee ... in fact, we KNOW that she did ... all of the time. I don't see what difference it would make for this version of events to be true ?? It is going to be very hard to beat the fraud charges ... economic crimes have a VERY high conviction rate ... electronic surveillance, finger printing, handwriting and computer forensics have made it near impossible to get away with these crimes, once charges are brought.

To get a loan she would have needed to show an ID and a paystub. And she would need to look like the ID.

she would have needed proof of pretty solid income to get a loan, which she did not have. i did consider that she was getting other people's checks cashed there, but never a loan. and i don't even think we know for sure that she did run out of gas, she may have just used the area to abandon her car.

who knows?

those places usually verify your employment. I doubt she was getting
a loan. Working as independent contractor one night a week does not make a good credit risk.

Ok I am long time lurker and first time poster, But all you need to get a payday loan is paystubs and checking account. We have all seen where KC made fake emails about events. So it is possible she could have made a paystub. We also know that she had AH checkbook and according to new docs just released it is also possible that the I.D from her wallet by the officer could have had a different name on it.

George had to put gas in the car to pick it up. I think it just stunk so bad that she could no longer stand to pile her nasty little self into it to go do whatever she was really doing for those two years. Amscot just happened to be where she ran out of the last batch of gas she stole.

I also think riding around for as long as she did with that odor is what made her wake up sweating. It's all about Caylee seeking her out in her dreams and sensory overload. IMHO

I have to agree that I think we are reading a bit much into where Casey ditched her car.

I feel pretty good about Casey abandoning her car, keys in it, purse on the front seat in the hopes that it would be stolen so she could pin the murder of her child, whose body was at some point in the trunk of her car, on someone else.

Yep.........I think so too. As much as KC loves money, there wouldn't be any other reason for her to leave her purse. She knew there was no money in it. She just wanted to tempt someone to take the car with the purse and the keys in it.

What better place to 'abandon it' than a loan office! Someone decides to try and get a loan, sees the car sitting right there, unlocked, purse inside, thinks "Hey I don't need a loan now, I'll just take the car, I'm sure I can sell it to someone"! Casey is cunning enough to come up with this idea - and obviously I'm not because it took me this long to think it up!

Here's what I don't get:
Casey's car was seen at Amscot at 7:00AM, yet Tony didn't pick her up until 11:00 AM where she was waiting with groceries, that did not come from a store.
So what did she do for 4 hrs!!!?

Maybe she's one of those women who can spend 4 hours deciding between the red fleecy one and the purple shiny one?

i don't see 2 random dudes coming forward claiming that they helped her *push* the vehicle into it's spot at the amscott.... even before this case got all stupidly wierd & everything so lets just say that didn't happen at ALL [hypothetically]

.....so the car was DISCOVERED at 7am.... doesn't mean that's when it was left there.... [IMO] car was prolly *pushed* there from wherever it had been sitting for the past week [since she'd been telling everyone she was getting a rental, her's was broken down, etc] the odds of someone running outta gas 2 Friday's in a row are so ridiculous lets just say it didn't happen the 2nd time [she just *said* it did]
this is the time frame everyone states kc dropped off face of earth.... no vehicle, no kc.... that makes sense....

So, hypothetically speaking, cars been sitting somewhere a week outta gas.... stinking really bad.... so who used their vehicle to push it from where it was sitting to the amscott parking lot? I'm sure they did a paint test if there was any transfer *IF* this is what happened.....

are the scratches on the rear / trunk area OUTSIDE the vehicle in a location fitting for another vehicle to have pushed it to where it ended up [hypothetically speaking] if they did it LATE at night or early morning hrs when no one's really on the road & wouldn't be seen.......?

just a theory though.... i think it was merely a random location picked for relevance to location from where car was originally "left" at....

Good question.
Didn't she have frozen Tyson chicken and Ice pops from her home freezer?

That is what Tony said and they weren't in normal grocery bags, they were in bags from her parent's house and the food was from there also. I don't think she was waiting at Amscott for all that time with frozen food. Doesn't make sense, just like everything else in this case.

The fact that she has all these money/stealing issues has always made me feel like there might be a connection to Amscott beyond the fact that her car was left there. :waitasec:

I'll bet she put the car there purposely in a spot where down-and-out people
(drug addicts etc. who are desperate) would perhaps steal it. It's close enough not to "put TonE out" when he came to get her. She ran most of the gas out of the car, which wasn't hard to do, because she was always on empty anyway... broke as a joke with no job -- stealing gas! She then left the ignition running until it stopped, took the keys, put the purse in plain sight, made the phone call and stood outside waiting for TonE to rescue her. Had to "get rid of it" what with all that stank.

My fiance has taken out loans from Amscot and I can tell you, they are STRICT. They require a recent pay stub, photo id, AND a thumb print.

Also, the LE has investigated the Amscot angle but no word on their findings in the media yet. I doubt she even went into that business unless she was there to cash a check.

i doubt she went in the business too... IMO that vehicle was left there during the wee, dark hours.... & just not noticed til' 7am when mgr or whoever came to work...

what gets me is this is a pretty well-traveled area, so like wouldn't TL have NOTICED her car STILL sitting there day after day as he came & went [not to mention other friends] cos' it sat there a few DAYS?!

I'm just sayin', cos' MAN, my own kids - wow! even at the age of 3-5yo & being in a backseat no less, they could point out Daddy's truck or Auntie's car or grandma's van in a split second in a crowded intersection, parking lot, or just goin' down the road if our paths happened to cross!! & this is a stationary vehicle that isn't moving & is there day after day for 3-4 days!? lol

I haven't seen anywhere that TL felt there was a descerepency with the story of her 'dad coming to get the car', or saw it, noticed it, wondered why it was still there.... nuttin

Could the car have been parked there running, with her waiting there in it or near it, to make sure it ran out of gas?

I have never believed the car was out of gas and pushed to the spot where it was found.

I believe it ran out of gas after it was parked there.

I recall reading or hearing that LE was reviewing Amscot's records. If Casey received a fraudulant loan, they'll find out.
