FBI charges vs LE charges

I hope this is ok to ask.....But the FBI is involved in this case, right? I havent seen or heard of ANY evidence driectly from the FBI. We know of all the current charges from the state of FL/LE. BUt do you think the FBI has some books to throw at Casey as well. Could she also be charged Federally for other acts?

Sorry if this has been discussed.
 
Not sure if you are referring to Federal Bureau of Investigation or Florida Bureau of Investigation. However, I know that when a serial killer (BTK) returned in our state that local law enforcement asked both KBI & FBI for assistance as their agencies have access to different investigation methods, facilities, equipment, specialists, etc.
 
See I thought when KC wrote the fraudulent check to BOA, that would be under federal. Also she paid AT&T with a fraudulent ck, out of state by phone, I thought this also would be federal.
 
I think in Caylee's case the FBI are involved due to the alleged kidnapping. Other than that, I don't think any federal charges would be filed, unless a kidnapper is arrested.

So far LE feels Caylee is dead and that is mostly due to the results from the body farm and the DNA from the FBI lab on the hair.
 
hmmm maybe they will charge Ca with Federal purgery (not sure fot he spelling) charges. Maybe she could take over the Martha Stuart cell????

I didn't know we had a Florida Bureau of Investigation. I do know we have a Florida Department of Law Enforcement. But I don't see the FBI getting involved other than performing test. IMO
 
Didn't the FBI question Casey? If she lied to a federal officer that is a felony. I am sure she hasn't told the whole truth to anyone. If she had told the FBI the truth she wouldn't be sitting at home asking to " go out and search"

I say that because she did say in the beginning that she thought Caylee was taken across state lines to New Mexico, or New York, didn't she?

IIRC, early on in the case when she was still sitting in jail, didn't casey ASK to speak to the FBI? I don't remember if she ever did.

not all federal prisons are what you think they are... the prison in WV is too gentle on it's residents... she needs to go somewhere that's actually strict and would make life he!!.
 
What about the secret service being involved. Don't they investigate bank fraud as well? If she paid AT&T by phone by fraud, isn't that also under the secret service investigative powers? Just curious

In the Cindy 8/4 interview, she is apparently on the phone w/ an FBI agent. IIRC the family did 'meet' with them as well while Casey was in Jail the first time. (not sure about CAsey though) Remember Cindy or maybe it was the spokesperson for the family said they would feel more comfortable/could trust, if they could talk w/ FBI?

In the Lee A interview, the leo made a small joke referencing the 'two Fridays's in a row-running out of gas' text as a FBI clue.....

I'm just wondering to what extent she can be held accountable to FBI, for all the 'charades' involving a kidnapping case which to my understanding is why they (FBI) were brought in?

I understand they (FBI) are conducting the physical testing of the evidence too. Just wondering what the Federal protocol is for basically misleading a Federal invesigation?

We know the state has charged her for this, but will FBI? Is this why JB asked her not to speak to FBI? (per quote feistyoldbroad)

It answers most of my questions.

in reference to the first paragraph, has she given a sworn statement to FBI?
in reference to sec 1622 could they get her for all of the 'theories' she has given to her family which in turn gave them to the Feds?
