NC - Dallas Gray Dunlap, 76, Stoneville, 18 Oct 2008
Mr. Dunlap went missing Oct 18th - last seen by his wife at approx 10:30 PM and noticed missing around 1AM. A search has been done all week for Mr. Dunlap and the Stoneville Police Dept along with Lisa from TES asked this info be posted here also.
There is a possible theory as the Martinsville Nascar Race was this weekend that Mr. Dunlap may have been seen by someone who attended the race or possibly hitched a ride, as he lives very near the VA/NC 220 corridor between Martinsville, VA and Greensboro, NC.
I just left the Stoneville area and Mr Dunlap has not been found...please spread the word - there is the possibility someone from the race spotted Mr Dunlap while in the area.

Search for missing Stoneville man suspended
Monday, October 27 (updated 12:31 pm)
Dallas Gray Dunlap
- Man, 76, still lost; search goes on (Oct. 22)
STONEVILLE — Police have suspended the search for a 76-year-old missing Alzheimer's patient.
Stoneville police said they suspended the search for Dallas Gray "Red" Dunlap on Sunday night. Dunlap has been missing since Oct. 19, and authorities have spent the past week looking for him.
"This was not the outcome we were hoping for at the beginning of the search last Sunday morning," Robert Cardwell, Rockingham County's fire marshal and a search team coordinator, said in a news release. "Everyone hoped for a safe return of Mr. Dunlap or the ability to tell his family where he is. With such a large-scale search, it's highly unusual that some information or sign of him has not turned up.
"It's still a search for a missing man and not a recovery effort until we have information otherwise. People should continue to be alert for any sign of Mr. Dunlap."
Authorities have conducted ground and water searches for Dunlap in northwest Rockingham County and southern Henry County, Va. A Texas search team, Texas EquuSearch Mounted Search and Recovery Team, also helped. There were reported sightings of Dunlap but none turned up evidence of where he might be.
Dunlap's wife of 50 years, Ruth Dunlap, said Monday she was OK with police suspending the search because they had done everything they could.
Ruth Dunlap said she has no idea where her husband could be. She said he is a very friendly man who treats strangers just as he does people he knows.
"I get the idea sometimes that maybe he was picked up on the road," she said.
Police say they will resume the search if they receive new leads.
Dunlap is a 5-foot-11 white man who weighs 185 pounds. He has blue eyes, is balding and has a scar on his nose. He was last seen wearing a red plaid pajama top, dark gray pants and white tennis shoes.
Anyone with information can call Stoneville police at 573-9861.
