Police in Germany saw right through a teenage burglar after he left x-rays of himself at the scene of the crime.
The 18-year-old from Berlin stole almost £17,000 from an 80-year-old woman after taking a key to her house from her son who was a friend of his.
Police said the son had told the young robber about his mum's store of cash a few days earlier while keeping him entertained after he broke his arm.
Armed with the knowledge of where the cash was hidden, the thief broke into the pensioner's home on the way back from collecting his x-ray from the hospital.
But he left it behind - along with his name and address on the envelope - as he hurried to get out of the flat before being seen.
