Important Safety Tip: Blowtorches Are Not For Housecleaning!

They call that permanent housecleaning.

A few years back there was a story about a guy who was told to remove some signs attached to gas pumps whose bolts had become rusty. His tool of choice? A blow-torch. What is it with these guys?

Oh jeez, that is too funny. No brains, I swear, no brains.

Also not good for defrosting frozen water lines. The outcome won't be as spectular but the repair bill might, especially is the seams become undone.

Oh, I don't know, my dad has been using a blowtorch to thaw water lines at their place since 1975. So far, so good! :D
(He leaves the hose hooked up w/ the water on throughout the winter.)

Pandora,

Your dad's using all the right precautions. Stay away from th water lines that maybe insulated. Long time Colorado Mountain resident. Oh the stories I could tell.
