Autopsy Planned Monday On Body Found In St. Clair County

St. Clair County investigators are trying to determine the cause of death of a man found along Highway 50 between Lebanon and OFallon Sunday morning. The Sheriffs department says white male victim was 40 to 50-years-old and that the body had been there a couple of days.
An autopsy is planned for Monday morning.

This is about 3 to 5 minutes from my house on a major road that many travel on including Scott AFB traffic by personnel like us that live north of the base
There is no way he could have been right at the intersection for two days- at least on the side of the road that many of us take to cut off the main road traffic.
1 the ditches are not deep and overgrown
2 I sat at that intersection for like 10 minutes looking around Friday because of all the traffic.
The trash that sits in the ditch like bags and cans is still there.
He must have been further down into the swampy brush about 5 to 10 ft.
Or if he was found on the Lebanon/Ofallon side of the intersection then I would not have seen him. The banks there are high and there practically is no ditch. So who knows!
