    Caylee's SS#

    I noticed Caylee's SS# started with 770-

Out of curiosity I looked it up- Up to 2001 the 700 series was not assigned.
Later parts were assigned to Ohio- including 770

The only other 770 I can find- was student ID's at California State University.

If Caylee was born in Florida, why would she have an Ohio SS#- or is the number valid at all? Rather odd!

Hmmm, that is odd. Do you know what it should start with if she were born in Orlando?

Hmmmm....that is interesting. I found this article written March 5, 2007.

"In the present times, invalid social security numbers include numbers with set of zeroes ( as in 000-xx-xxxx, xxx-00-xxxx, xxx-xx-0000), numbers starting with 666, numbers from 987-65-4320 through 987-65-4329 - which are marked for advertising, and numbers with the starting three digits above 770, which are not yet allocated. "

So does that also include number 770 itself?

The first three digits are not always indicative of where a person was born. Those digits are determined by the zip code of the mailing address on the application. I wonder if at some point, members of the A family were in OH after Caylee's birth.

Revcrim, I am going to go ahead and lock this since it seems to be a dead end. Interesting thought though.
