I have not seen a thread about Sabine here and my search didn't return any results so......

Sabine has been missing since Nov. 5th. Her car was located when police pulled over Robert Corona and upon running the tags realized it was Sabine's car. Corona is one of Sabine's ex-boyfriends. During the processing of the car LE found traces of her blood. Two weeks after her disappearence the hotel that Sabine owned with her husband burned down. Officials are calling the fire suspicious. In two days she will have been missing a month.

It was reported on the news here (Im in Florida) that the blood found in her car is hers... and parts of the upholstry had been cut out of the car.

Those close to Sabine Musil-Buehler yearn for justice in her disappearance and likely killing, but they worry they may never get it if the body of the missing Holmes Beach hotelier is not found.

Musil-Buehler's November disappearance is technically a missing-person case, though authorities have handled it as a homicide for months.

Her friends on Anna Maria Island and in her native Germany are growing frustrated with the lack of progress in the investigation.

All along authorities have had their eye on three people: Musil-Buehler's boyfriend, her estranged husband and the man found driving her blood-stained vehicle.

All three men have been repeatedly interviewed, and two are in jail on charges not related to the disappearance.

William Cumber, named a “person of interest” in the disappearance of missing Holmes Beach motel owner Sabine Musil-Buehler, has been offered a 15-year prison term by prosecutors in exchange for an admission that he violated his probation, Cumber’s attorney said Tuesday.

Four months pass in missing woman case

Two cases, two defendants, but still authorities have two unsolved mysteries.
The disappearance of Islander Sabine Musil-Buehler, 49, and the arson fire at Haley’s Motel, which she co-owns with husband Tom Buehler, remain unsolved mysteries after four months.
Two men with ties to the Haley’s case are in the Manatee County jail awaiting hearings this month in courtrooms at the Manatee County Judicial Center in Bradenton.
Robert Corona, 38, is scheduled to go to trial the week of March 23 on a charge of grand theft auto.
Corona is accused of stealing Musil-Buehler’s car from a 14th Street bar sometime between late Nov. 4 and Nov. 6.
He was arrested early Nov. 6 after allegedly fleeing from a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputy attempting, at first, to make a routine traffic stop.
Corona initially told authorities he was given the key to the car, but later said he found the vehicle in a parking lot outside a 14th Street bar with the key in the ignition.
The car contained small amounts of Musil-Buehler’s blood in the front seat and some of her possessions in the trunk, according to the MCSO. Her cell phone and purse remain missing.

Cumber hearing delayed
Another delay occurred last week in the state’s case against the boyfriend of missing Haley’s Motel owner Sabine Musil-Buehler.
William Cumber III, 39, is awaiting a hearing on an alleged violation of probation on a 2005 felony arson conviction. The hearing was delayed last week because Cumber’s attorney was participating in another trial.
The case is not directly related to the disappearance of Musil-Buehler, whose last known whereabouts were with Cumber on Nov. 4, 2008, at an Anna Maria apartment.

Thanks Tonia for posting the new links. It seems to be the same sad song of a woman becoming the victim of her lover or husband. I have no doubt that Cumber killed her. It was a really dumb move for him to set the hotel on fire being a convicted arsonist and all......

An attorney for William Cumber, boyfriend of missing Holmes Beach motel owner Sabine Musil-Buehler, named a “person if interest” in her disappearance, is planning to ask for leniency in his probation violation case.

Cumber has no other choice, he is guilty of driving on a suspended license while on probation, his attorney, Tom Ostrander, said Wednesday.

But such a minor offense does not warrant the 15 years the state is offering Cumber for a guilty plea or the 30 years the state pledges to seek if he does not accept, Ostrander said.

Trial soon for man driving missing woman’s car

A man found behind the wheel of car that belonged to a missing 49-year-old island motel owner is slated to go to trial in August, according to prosecutors.

Robert Corona, 38, is charged with resisting law enforcement without violence, driving without a valid license and grand theft of a motor vehicle.

Corona was found in Sabine Musil-Buehler’s white 2000 Pontiac Sunfire driving east in the 1200 block of 26th Avenue West in Bradenton on Nov. 6, 2008, according to reports.

Man pleads to stealing missing woman’s car

The man caught driving missing Holmes Beach motel owner Sabine Musil-Buehler’s car on the day she was last seen alive, pleaded no contest today to a charge of stealing the vehicle.

Robert Corona, 38, pleaded no contest to charges of grand theft auto, resisting arrest and driving with no valid driver’s license, and faces a maximum of six years and 60 days in prison when he is sentenced later this week.
Corona told deputies he had found the car with keys in the ignition in the parking lot of Gator Lounge, in the 1800 block of 14th Street West. Deputies later found Musil-Buehler’s blood in the car, but Corona has maintained he had nothing to do with her disappearance.

“I am taking this plea because I am guilty of the car,” Corona told a judge this morning. “But I have nothing to do with whatever else came with the car.”

Corona’s attorney John Pangallo said his client was referring to the continued investigation into Musil-Buehler’s disappearance. He said prosecutors refused to offer Corona a plea deal that included anything less than the maximum prison sentence, so his client decided to plead no contest and seek the mercy of the court.

“The offer seems higher that it would otherwise be, but for an ongoing investigation,” said Pangallo. “He has never been named a suspect in the investigation, instead he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Hopefully, the judge will see the state’s motive and be fair with my client.”

Man seeks to have wife declared dead

The estranged husband of a missing Holmes Beach motel owner has asked a court to declare his wife legally dead 11 months after she disappeared.
Attorneys for Thomas Buehler filed the legal request Wednesday. If granted, it would allow Buehler to collect life insurance on Sabine Musil-Buehler and leave him as the sole owner of Haley's Motel.

Musil-Buehler went missing on Nov. 6 following an argument with her boyfriend. Police recovered her car after it was stolen, finding her blood inside and her clothing in the trunk.

No body has been found and no charges have been filed in the case.

Buehler and Sabine-Buehler separated six years ago but never divorced. She did not have a will, making Buehler her sole heir, the complaint states.

Florida law requires a person whose absence cannot be explained to be missing for five years before they can be declared dead.

But a court can order the state vital statistics department to issue a presumptive death certificate sooner.

Dig for clues in woman's disappearance

Investigators are digging along Anna Maria Beach, looking for clues in the disappearance of a woman who has been missing for more than a year.

The investigation centers around 49-year-old Sabine Musil-Buehler. Buehler was reported missing in November of 2008.

Crews brought in a front loader to dig up a section of the beach. Dave Bristow, spokesman for the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, says they could be out there for several days, depending on what they find.

Bristow said they had not received new information; rather, detectives were revisiting an area they had gone over in the past.

Flashback 2011: The year in review Part 2

The discovery of property belonging to Sabine Musil-Buehler renewed an investigation into the 2008 missing person’s case.

Musil-Buehler went missing in November 2008 after an argument with boyfriend William Cumber. Cumber is currently serving a 13-year prison sentence, the result of a parole violation stemming from an arson conviction where Cumber set a former girlfriend’s house on fire.

Cumber remains a person of interest in the disappearance of Musil-Buehler, who is presumed dead. Her white Pontiac was discovered the morning after her disappearance. Her clothing and what was later determined to be her blood were discovered in the trunk of her vehicle.

Investigators combed the beach area where her property was found with personnel and cadaver dogs for three days and launched a four-day excavation campaign of the area. The investigation continued for weeks, but no further evidence was discovered.
