NY - Man with cerebal palsy left on bus for 17 hours
A bus driver who has a whopping 28 arrests on his rap sheet has been arrested for stranding a man with cerebal palsy on a bus for 17 hours.
Ed Wynn Rivera aged 22 was left on his bus after the bus matron ditched him. Looks like the bus driver just didn't care enough to make sure Rivera got home in those freezing temps. The bus matron had a concert to go to at her Church. Good lookout, lady.
These two upstanding folks work for "Outstanding Transport" who boast on their website that workers have no criminal background and are randomly drug tested. The driver Walter Gibbs arrests include drug offenses and one even assaulting a police officer. This poor, poor man was just abandoned in that bus while his family was frantic. 17 hours of frantic.

There is no excuse, Rivera could have froze to death. I'm not buying that "church concert" bit, either. I hope Rivera's families sues, maybe then will they actually do background checks on who they hire.
