There should be a little hidden clause that makes convicted felons ineligible.

Indeed, I have to say it chaffed my sensiblities when I read those articles.

I agree but I don't think it will ever happen.

I had to delete most of what I had to say because I'd probably get banned.

One consolation: Have any of you seen the show (I think on E!) about the bad luck most lottery winners have had? I hope these two have that same bad luck.

WHat really worries me is that the one guy said he was building a house. SO now he has the means to build a house with an under ground secret room where he can kidnap kids, molest and do whatever else hw wishes and no one will find him. THAT SCARES ME!!!

He's aware of his past but thinks the money will help him make amends, allowing him to buy a house and put his kids through college. "We thought we were going to end up working until we died, but not any more," he smiles. "I want to enjoy a little bit of life. We're plain folks. We've struggled all our lives. Now I don't have to wait until Friday to get groceries or put gas in the truck."

Oh my goodness, I want to vomit. Since when is building a house and putting your kids through college "making amends" and since when are RSO's "plain folks"??
Oddly enough, my so called "stepfather" is a RSO who is addicted to gambling...no casino's near where he lives so guess what he plays...
Sorry sob's. I'm normally extremely against the sue-happy philosophy many people live by but I would do my best- whatever I possibly could, to sue the pants off my stepfather if I ever heard he won big, just so I could donate it to charities that help victims of RSO's.

Hopefully he will be scammed out of the money or he'll go crazy spending and won't have any left.
