"Chicago police plan to question a man who was the subject of a protection order granted in 2007 to the mother of ex-Bulls player Eddy Curry's 3-year-old son, but they would not describe him Sunday as a suspect in the Saturday shooting death of the woman and her infant daughter.

Nova Henry, 24, and her 9-month-old daughter, Ava, were found shot to death at about 6 p.m. in the 0-99 block of West 15th Street, police said."

Calls for help came around 6 p.m. Saturday. A relative found the two killed after family members grew concerned that the 24-year-old had not shown up for the wake of her grandmother who passed away last week.
"The family came to check on her because they were at the funeral. They were expecting her at a funeral and she didn't show up. So, they came to check on her and then discovered the tragedy," said neighbor Darthula Young.
Henry's relatives said she had been having trouble with an ex-boyfriend and had began the process for at least two orders of protection."

It was just reported in today's NY Post that dna proved that Eddy Curry was also the father of the murdered child. Horrible tragedy. But something doesn't sit right with me about this whole thing. I wonder if Eddy Curry doesn't know more than he is saying.

CHICAGO A 36-year-old attorney fatally shot the former girlfriend and infant daughter of New York Knicks player Eddy Curry during a domestic-related dispute, authorities said Sunday.

Fredrick Goings of Chicago was charged Sunday with two counts of first-degree murder, Cook County State's Attorney spokeswoman Sally Daly said.

Police said Goings was arrested Friday evening as he was getting into his car outside a relative's place in Chicago. Goings has not made any statements to authorities and is not cooperating in the investigation, Lt. Denis Walsh said.

CHICAGO (AP) A jury has convicted a Chicago attorney of murdering former NBA center Eddy Curry's ex-girlfriend and infant daughter four years ago.

Fredrick Goings showed no reaction when the jury's guilty verdict was read Tuesday in the January 2009 shooting deaths of 24-year-old Nova Henry and her and Curry's 10-month-old daughter, Ava.

Goings represented Henry in a child custody case against the former Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks and Miami Heat center, and was also romantically involved with her. Prosecutors say Henry tried to end her relationship with Goings and moved out with her and Curry's two children..........more at link......

As Yolan Henry walked to the front of the courtroom Thursday to address the judge, she turned and gave a final stare toward the man convicted of killing her daughter and granddaughter inside their South Loop townhouse more than four years ago...

Not long after, Goings, a Chicago attorney who had a romantic relationship with Nova Henry, was sentenced to life in prison...

Henry's then-3-year-old son, [N], who is also Curry's child, was found in the townhouse unharmed after the shootings... "He turned around and looked at me and said Frederick," Yolan Henry testified. "He repeated, 'Frederick did it.'"
