As if there isn't enough going on already, now there's TWO events ... at the same time.

Not sure how I feel about this latest move from LP.

One thing's for sure: Cindy will be furious.

Padilla plans to hold his own Caylee Memorial

Bounty Hunter Leonard Padilla is back in Orlando. But is he back on the publicity bandwagon or really looking to help?

Cindy Anthony said Padilla is not allowed in to the memorial at the First Baptist Church of Orlando Tuesday, so Padilla is holding his own memorial on Suburban Drive

.

Okay, I do have an opinion.

I think its petty (and perhaps spiteful) of Cindy to ban Padilla from the memorial service, however it's hard to see the LP event as anything more than retaliation for being banned.

Or am I being too hard on LP?

I just wish that Cindy would for once realize this is a celebration of Caylee's life, it's not about her. I feel anyone who played a part in trying to find Caylee should have been allowed to attend the service. I can't imagine how sad it must be to have been part of the case and trying to help find this little child, and being left out in the cold. I personally feel it is appropriate for Rev. Grund, LP and others who are being shunned from the service, to be able to say good bye to Caylee the only way they can. RG loved Caylee as his granddaughter and should be allowed to celebrate her life and begin to heal. I don't feel anyone is doing this to spite CA, but for closure and to show respect for Caylee.

As always, the human psyche is multi-faceted, as are the motives that drive it. I'm sure that LP felt slighted at CA's cattiness, but would also enjoy some amount of public closure (and public media coverage). Showing Cindy up for the shallow and controling individual she is, while providing a more informal tribute for Caylee, is more than fair, as well.

I've tended to think that the real memorial to Caylee will occur when those who chose can visit her "resting place" without media, personalities, or advertising for "Foundations" holding sway over the innocence of one small child.

There are apparently a lot of good decent people that are 'banned' from the official memorial... Leonard, Jessie Grund, Rev Grund, Mark Klass, and who knows how many more. If they want to have their own memorial, I think its fine. The more people praying for CAYLEE and remembering CAYLEE , the better. The Grunds had little Caylee in their life, as a daughter and grandaughter ..and even after the true paternity was discovered, they still loved and welcomed her.. they have every right to memoralize her.. From what I understand, the Rev. Grund is going to bless the area where Caylee's little remains were found.
Each person only knows what is in his or her heart.. and I dont think anyone else could or should judge or question their motives. GOD knows everyone's intent.. nuff said.

Excerpt From Rev. Richard Grund's blog:

I've been asked many times today if I or my family will be attending the "memorial" tomorrow at First Baptist Church of Orlando.

Recently it was reported on various news outlets that my name and my son Jesse's name appeared on the "not welcome" list. I reached out to have it confirmed and has been confirmed. So, I do not want to feed into the madness of this "event" by showing up and being led away by security and I do not want to allow anyone who might be behind this banishment to have any joy in that either. Because I cherish Caylee, her life and her memory, and always will, I have chosen to meet with friends at the site on Suburban Drive. This IS NOT, as has been reported, an alternate memorial. If others happen to show up we will remember Caylee together. If I can offer any comfort or prayerful guidance I will be glad to so.

came across an image of Rev Grund "and child" on his myspace comments.

Is this Caylee in his arms?

It's actually extremely redundant just how many "memorials" there are for Caylee. So far, there is one "formal" one, one "quasi-formal" one, and MANY "informal" ones that will be going on across the world in people's homes and minds, - some shared, some alone within one's own heart. It's Caylee's tribute, nothing else matters.

As far as questioning people's intentions goes, - well, no one would be on this site reading these threads and posts if we didn't acknowledge, at least somewhat, that we ALL are judges of ourselves and each other. Inherently, there's nothing wrong with it. Without animus, or vile intent, it's nothing more than the opinions derived from "sleuthing", peppered generously with common sense.

It's sad that those who loved Caylee as part of their family were banned from her service. I was surprised that Mark Klass was on the list too. According to Fox News, there's 24 on the list.

Yes, that's Caylee in his arms. He and his wife, and son, were at the hospital when Caylee was born. His son believed he was Caylee's father, and they believed she was their granddaughter.

According to the news, if KC had her way it would be a "closed" memorial. I guess she's still advocating "out of sight, out of mind."

Do you have a link to that? I'd like to see it. I have a difficult time believing that Cindy released a list to the media of who is not welcome.

I think it is wrong

I think that people should have the decency to allow the Anthonys to have their public memorial anyway they want.
I think if people want to remember Caylee then they are best doing it without ANY controversy

Holding ANOTHER memorial (even though it may or may not be called that) is doing just that - adding to the controversy

Do it another day at a different time.

That would honour Caylee

This is like "well Im not allowed to go so I'll hold my own"

Its in poor taste. Its not respectful to Caylee

On the other hand I think that it is wrong of Cindy and George to ban people from a PUBLIC memorial.
If people are respectful they should be allowed to attend a PUBLIC Memorial, and if they cause any problems then have them escorted away like any other event

But two wrongs do not make a right

So childish and so sad. This isn't a memorial for Caylee, in my opinion, it's a stage for Cindy, a chance to publically show what happens when you thwart her - and she gets to do it in public no less. So sad, so childish.

My opinion only

You see how this is going around in circles ?
Now people are making statements of STAY AWAY From the memorial
and if you choose to go to the *conditional memorial* as they call it they will wipe you off their my space accounts as friends and so on and so forth

That is madness.

As I said two wrongs do not make a write (doh that is supposed to say RIGHT)

There is no link. Fox News stated in their news broadcast that there was a banned list and there were 24 names on the list.

While your sentiments aren't shared, I understand your ire. But, again, it has NOTHING to do with any of this or that, tit for tat,...it's about remembering Caylee Anthony's life. CA needs to let down the curtain of bitterness, for her granddaughter's sake and memory.

If this is what she is like during a time of grief and sadness, what must she have been like when she was fully charged?

HE77 on wheels.

Knowing some of the earlier "memorial" discussion threads got a little heated, I was reluctant to post this one.

However, thank you to everyone who has contributed so far - for discussing the topic sensibly and respectfully.

Can anyone recall Cindy or George ever commenting about Rev Grund ?

.

I'm shocked
I must have missed the fact that Rev G told Casey to stop bringing the baby around

I must have my head in the sand because I totally missed those two things

I ve said it *three* times now "two wrongs do not make a right"
Cindy and George denying any public member to a public memorial is not right.
They should allowed everyone in but if anyone said BOO they would escorted OUT

Padilla could have been made to sit at the back.

But two wrongs do not make a right and him and anyone else that holds a memorial at the same time are not respecting Caylee in any way shape or form.

I would expect better from a Reverend

I also think the comments that he is receiving to his public message on my space are appalling

Its not right to put conditions on people saying if they go to Caylees Memorial at the church then they will be wiped off as friends etc etc

Im so saddened to see how human beings are behaving

No matter what anyone says this is about Cindy and George and Lee and Cindys and Georges Parents it is their Grandchild, neice and Great Grandchild.

When it comes down to it they own the public nothing.

I pray that God's love with surround the Anthoneys tomorrow.

Bless Caylee's soul as she is held in the arms of God. She taught all to care and love more.
