Her son John Ferenc said Friday that searchers would gather at 10 a.m. Sunday behind the Irondequoit Town Hall at 1300 Titus Ave., and anyone who wants to participate is welcome. Searchers will be given a specific grid of the Rochester area to search for his mother or her car. The family has offered a $10,000 reward for information that leads to finding her.

State police are using sonar to search the Genesee River and Irondequoit Bay. Nothing found. I wish someone would come along and give a credible lead to the officials. This family needs closure.

    Here is some details.

She was last seen on Feb 12, 2009 on Ridge Road at Wegmans
She was driving a White Delta 88, 1995, Ny Tags APK-6566
She doesn not have her medicine with her
No activity on her credit cards.
    Her family has heard nothing.

If you have any information please post it here or call Irondequoit Police.

The car of a missing Irondequoit woman was pulled from a channel of the Genesee River at the Rochester Yacht Club on Thursday night.

"It's a vehicle we've been looking for that belongs to Bernice Ferenc," said Irondequoit police Capt. Marty Corbett. "There is what appears to be a body in the vehicle."

Cause of death determined for missing 85-year-old Irondequoit woman

The Medical Examiner’s Office says the cause of her death was an accidental drowning. It appears she became lost, drove into an unfamiliar area and accidentally drove into the water.
