A week has passed since Patricia Casares Treloar vanished after leaving her job as a manager at Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center in Eagle Pass, and police and family members are beginning to fear the worst.
We found her truck yesterday, and her purse, cell phone, a jacket and things like that were inside, said Eagle Pass Police Chief Antonio Castañeda.
Were leaning toward foul play. Normally a woman doesnt leave her purse and credit cards, and her kids, behind, said the chief, who has assigned two detectives to the case.
Casares Treloar, 44, was last seen leaving work at about 5 p.m. Jan. 21. Her co-workers reported her missing two days later, and family members confirmed they had not seen her, Castañeda said.
Casares Treloar was in the middle of a divorce from Rodney Treloar, 61, father of her two teenage children. When police interviewed Treloar, he said he had not spoken to her in several days, Castañeda said.
Family members described the divorce proceeding as adversarial.
