I wasn't sure where to post this one.

This one is very disturbing.

Doris Jackson, 83, of the Tuppers Plains area was last seen about 1:30 p.m. Monday. She is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall and about 170 pounds. She has gray hair, blue eyes and wears corrective lenses. Her car, a 1989 brown Mercury Marquis with the personalized Ohio license plate DOEJ, is also missing.

They found her body in her home yesterday. The Meigs County Sheriff's department tells WSAZ.com that the case of a missing woman is now a homicide investigation.

Thursday afternoon, investigators found the body of Doris Jackson inside her home on Arbaugh Road in Tuppers Plains, Ohio.

Another news report

They didn't search her home when she was reported missing? I'm sick to my stomach over this one.

Yeah that is what I first thought of. Why didn't they search the home when she was reported missing??

Apparently her house was so cluttered it was hard to find her. She was found under three feet of stuff.

I did hear that they found her car. I'll go look for that link.

According to a news release from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations, 83-year-old Doris Jackson's 1989 Mercury Marquis was found Saturday in Athens.

This comment on the web site is disturbing!

I really hope that the bci has some leads here. I work at a place that I hear all the stories. I also still see all the people going around that I am hearing the stories about. I am not saying that these stories are true because I dont know. Im just saying that it is a little scary. knowing that whoever did this horrible thing is still running around. Im srill praying for justice and the family of Doris.

Charges Made In Connection to Meigs Co. Murder

Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation join Meigs County Prosecuting Attorney Colleen Williams and Meigs County Sheriff Robert Beegle in announcing that charges of receiving stolen property and tampering with evidence have been filed in Meigs County Court in connection with the investigation into the murder of Doris Jackson in late February.

James Lee Garnes, 39, of Pomeroy is charged with one count of receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony, relating to the 1989 Mercury Marquis owned by Doris Jackson.

Garnes is also charged with one count of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony.

Garnes was taken into custody by Sheriff Beegle's office Thursday afternoon.

Charles S. Williams, 39, who is being held at the North Central Regional Jail in Greenwood, W. Va., on an unrelated charge, was charged Thursday with one count of receiving stolen property.

This fourth-degree felony charge relates to the 1989 Mercury Marquis owned by Doris Jackson.

Williams is also charged with one count of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony.

From October 2009:

http://www.wsaz.com/news/headlines/40260657.html

Charles Williams has avoided a possible death penalty trial by pleading guilty to the murder of Doris Jackson...

During the hearing, prosecutors told the court that Williams entered Jackson’s home, strangled and restrained her, cut her with a knife, and bludgeoned her. Williams then hid her body under items in her house. Prosecutors say Williams then stole firearms, money, and other items from the house...

Following the plea, Williams was immediately sentenced to life in prison with a possibility of parole after thirty years on the aggravated murder charges. He was also sentenced to ten years on the kidnapping charge, ten years on the aggravated charge, ten years on the aggravated burglary charge, five years for tampering with evidence, five years for grand theft of a motor vehicle and eighteen months for receiving stolen property.
