Casey Anthony: 'someone's trying to trick a confession out of me'

ORANGE COUNTY, FL -- New documents, more than 1,000 pages, were released Thursday providing details about Casey Anthony's arrest and personal life.
Casey was arrested last October after she and her attorney led cops on a bizarre chase, during which she switched cars several times before her arrest.
When officers caught up with her, she told them, "That was us trying to counteract the media from following us down to jail because our only intention was to take me down to the jail to surrender me before this happened. That was the only thing we were trying to accomplish."
According to transcripts, she told a sheriff's deputy, "I have had interest in helping law enforcement from the beginning. Unfortunately my hands were literally tied and I was put in a position where someone's trying to trick a confession out of me. That's not going to happen."

A legal expert said those videos could help Anthony.
"It absolutely increases her chances of getting a fair trial," criminal defense attorney Richard Hornsby said.
Hornsby said the video of the two frolicking in front of the camera, and another showing Anthony in the mirror behind the camera, could help give perspective jurors a much more positive image of the 22-year-old.
The Anthony's former spokeswoman said the videos had been posted to Anthony's MySpace and Facebook accounts months ago, and were captured by people who had access to those accounts.
While those people's intention was to create memorials to Caylee, the result could help the woman now accused of killing her.
Meanwhile, the deputy who Roy Kronk, the meter reader who found Caylee's remains on Dec. 11, said blew him off when he tried to report a suspicious bag along Suburban drive August, Richard Kane, will be deposed by Casey Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, a week from Friday.

ORLANDO, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Casey Anthony may need to answer questions in a civil lawsuit deposition and a deputy who responded to a 911 call made by the meter reader who eventually found Caylee Anthony’s remains will be questioned by the state attorney’s office.
On Friday, Zenaida Gonzalez’s attorney filed a motion with the court asking that Anthony be required to answer their questions. In an earlier deposition, Morgan and Morgan attorneys prepared written questions but Casey only answered one: her name. A hearing has been set for March 18.
FOX 35 also learned on Friday that Deputy Richard Kane, who responded to Orange County meter reader Roy Kronk’s 911 phone calls regarding a bag found in the woods in August, will be deposed by the State Attorney's office on March 13.
Also on Friday, an affidavit concerning DNA reports and procedures was also filed by Dr. Larry Kobilinsky, an expert for the defense.

WESH-Channel 2's Bob Kealing asked that question. Jose Baez, Anthony's attorney, said he had nothing to do with posting the positive images of his client on YouTube. She is charged with the murder of her child.
Still, the footage received frequent play on Friday. Baez shouldn't use the video in trial, legal expert Richard Hornbsy, a criminal defense attorney, told Kealing. The reason: Baez will lose a contest to defend his client's character. "The problem that Casey Anthony has is that there seems to be way more negative character information out there than there is positive," Hornsby said.
Some more negative: WESH's Amanda Ober looked at Casey Anthony's text messages and the young mother's tendency to lie to friends.
Kealing also reported that next week Baez will depose a deputy who could have missed finding Caylee's remains in August.
WKMG-Channel 6 reported Baez will ask for biographies and resumes of scientists who conducted lab tests for the state. At a hearing next week, the judge will decide whether the defense team gets all that information and whether George Anthony's suicide note will be released, Mike DeForest reported.

ORLANDO -- Lawyers for Zenaida Gonzalez filed a motion Friday afternoon, asking a judge to force Casey Anthony to answer questions in her defamation case.
In the motion, Gonzalez's attorney Keith Mitnik stated that Anthony and her attorneys have stated in the past that his client is not the Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez who took Caylee.
"Under the circumstance, there cannot be a good faith basis for refusing to answer the question ‘Is the lady in the attached the Zenaida Gonzalez you say kidnapped Caylee?’" Mitnik wrote in the motion.
No date for the hearing has been set yet.
