ST. PAUL, Minn.-- Those who knew Harold Schroetter say he's not the type person who would be murdered by a friend, and yet that's the theory the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is going with for now.
"We believe he's likely deceased and the victim of foul play," BCA assistant commissioner Dave Bjerga told reporters Friday in Saint Paul.
Schroetter, a 57-year-old postal worker and former Navy submarine man, disappeared a year ago this week. He was last seen in his Falcon Heights home Feb. 25, 2009. His red Chrysler turned up in the parking lot of a housing complex on Saint Paul's north end.
