I'm not sure that the Jenning's murders and AC murders are connected, but I believe it should be taken into consideration as a possibility. And SD is right, it could be a truck driver............which COULD mean there are 'other' related cases in 'other' cities, other states............there's women disappearing from Las Vegas and found years later, scattered around the country. Connected as well, I dunno.

It could very well be a coincidence that the two locations, (or perhaps three) mentioned have the same type of murders, drug related, sex trade related, throats slashed on some, some found in water.........

At this point in time, I wouldn't rule anything out. Each case, each city's string of murders and disappearances, COULD be part of an even bigger picture.

Thanks for the post about the FBI investigation.

Of course it is a possibility and the FBI is involved in Jennings, but I think that the places where the girls in Jennings were dumped are not normal 18 wheeler truck routes. Maybe a local will pop in and tell us about the streets leading to the dump sites.

These girls have one thing in common, they were all known by T. Gary, mother of Brittany (among others, I am sure). Some have family or friendship ties to one another. For instance, Brittany's cousin and best friend were also victims.

The dump sites would not be great for a large truck....think farmland, some gravel roads and scattered houses.

There are enough houses/people on a couple of these sites where a large truck would be heard and probably noticed.

These sites are country, out of the way, and known by people familiar with the area. If you just drove randomly and were not from the area, you could get lost. The most interesting site to me is the one one the way to the POLICE SHOOTING RANGE. Someone knew the place where cops practiced shooting and wanted the someone in law enforcement to find the body..hmmmmmmmm

We will continually try to educate our community on what behavioral characteristics to look for. We know with cases like this which have occurred in the United States, this type of offender will have attempted to approach, even hurt other women, but those women got away, or maybe didn't even realize they were in jeopardy or at risk. We know that the offender or offenders has made mistakes. We are holding that information close to the investigation. Although this person looked "normal" there was likely something about him that caused concern. Maybe you described it as the "Creep Factor". This is someone we believe comes across as somewhat arrogant as well. If you have had an experience like this, we want you to please come forward and talk to us. Please don't shrug off an event and just say, "Oh that was nothing." Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't. Let law enforcement make that call.
Do you know someone who is:
    Superficially glib and charming
    Self-Confident
    Appears non-threatening initially
Physically Strong - not to be confused with someone who works out every day at the gym
Frequents the area where the girls go missing from
Quick to Anger especially if rejected
Lures girls with alcohol and drugs (Crack Cocaine)
May have a formal criminal record involving assaultive behavior with a knife and may include burglary
May not necessarily have a violent criminal history

It is a very good point you bring up, sometimes SKs move around.
There is a possibility that the killer(s) is killing elsewhere when he is not killing in Jennings.
O/T does anyone know if the Daytona serial killer was identified? Or was it a lost cause with that doctor? He was killing prostitutes, too.
In general, it's common for SKs to kill prostitutes. So the MO would have to match or other similair evidence..

I was thinking about occupations which would bring one to an area for a period of time at certain times of the year in different towns.....some type of event where they would interact with the public and perhaps rekindle friendships each time they travel to an area. Anyway, I thought of a carnival worker. They live a transient, vagabond lifestyle and many are reputed drug abusers. I just thought it would be another industry besides trucking for ne'er do wells to hide. Thoughts?

I agree about the general nature of carnival workers but have no idea about the status of local fairs, etc. To me, the murders coincide with college semesters and this was the first thing that jumped out at me when I saw the dates.

Since there is a fast food connection to some of the victims, I wonder if the perp could be in the food industry - supply side. Or a salesman who travels through to service clients.

What I can't get beyond is that the perp must know all of the girls well - he killed 3 that were very close family/friends. That does not scream 'random selecton' to me.

DotsEyes, The food industry is something to consider...a food service delivery person or distributor is a good thought as the job would require interaction on a regular basis. I agree that these murders aren't random...the perp must travel in the same circle as his victims or was familiar in some way, IMO.

How about someone in the casino industry? Atlantic City? Las Vegas? Lake Charles is just a half hour away.

jujube that is a great idea!

Do you happen to know which casinos are located in Lake Charles?

Could this be an employee/gambler gaming connection between Lake Charles and AC? Maybe.

Still, the relationships amongst the girls can not be ignored. How often are there 7 victims who are all from the same section of a small town and who are all related by blood or marriage or are friends or whose husbands are friends and let's not forget those whose four (4) mothers/step-mothers died within 4 months of one another and all before age what, 50?*

I wonder if there are any girls who are in the same loop of relationships who could connect the players if she really thought about it for a while.

*(One lady may have been older, so I started a little spin. Sorry.)

The two casinos that I found are the Isle of Capri and L'Auberge.
There is definitely a connection between casinos and prostitution. I'm not saying it comes into play with these murders but it is an interesting coincidence.

They all knew each other. Jennings is a small town , where everyone knows each other, so I don't believe it could be someone who is working at the casinos or delivery food service.
They all knew each other .They all at one time or another was doing drugs.

My Theory on this is... According to Brittany's Mom she was scared to trust anyone. So I'm thinking it could be someone close to her ...Family? Police? Someone who she didn't feel could hurt her.

    Theory 2- Someone kidnapped her.

Doesn't Jennings has a little gambling spot at the gas station by the interstate. I've only passed thru there a few years back.

I don't think I've ever been to Jennings, so I can not help anyone with the local scene.

Yes, they all knew each other. And they all knew the perp. Their age differences suggest to me that they didn't grow up together, but apparently had something in common that links them together. So far, there is an alleged drug, booze and prostitution link, but I hesitate to repeat this about the girls, because I didn't know them and I don't want to be disrespecful of them. However, these alleged links may have nothing whatsoever to do with the murders.

Who knows, it could be a Dahlmer type of nerd who makes candy during the day and eats people at night. It could be the lawn police - like BTK, but I dont' recall any LE officer serial killers off-hand. It could be a bulgy eyed, fat, toothless drifter - like Lucas.

What we do know is that he has trophies, what was taken from each girl?

Maybe LE should list every item each was known to be wearing last, in case some housewife has come across a weird stash in the shed somewhere.
