Runnion worried sex offender registry law may be gutted

Erin Runnion, who has been crusading to protect children from sexual abuse and abduction ever since her daughter Samantha was killed in 2002, is worried that the law she and other parents fought so hard to get passed - the Adam Walsh Act - could be gutted by Congress this year.

This is a very troubling development in the fight to keep track of these SOs and to protect one of the most vulnerable of our society, our children. They can spend tillions of our tax dollars to save the economy, but fail miserably when it comes to saving the lives of the very people we expect to pay down this debt in the future.

We can only pray that our lawmakers and the states see the error they're making before it's too late. So much work by so many, ready to go into the abyss.

Very disturbing,
